I was clearly responding to MrL's claim that this bill increased the debt.
It didn't.

I'll happily agree that this bill didn't do anything real. It's pathetic how much work went into this menial result.

Here are two interesting articles on the tax cuts that should of died last year but have now been renewed for all but monies gotten over $400,000 for a single or $450,000 for a couple. Due to less economic activity it will add to the debt. The government will actually pull in less revenue because of this deal.

Defense spending should be the highest point of fed spending, it should actually be the only expense line in their ledger. It's the only thing they are there for.

I'm yet to see a dem suggest this. Yet you keep voting for them. And they aren't willing to make any cuts. When are you actually going to vote for people that will cut spending?
