More determined?? Let's see ... RC "drone" versus rifle or shotgun?
Y' know, somthing tells me the drone is gonna lose THIS fight pretty much every time ...

This sounds really familiar to an incident earlier this year...

If they donate the pigeons to hungry folk I'm all for it. Otherwise I was always taught not to shoot for sport only. It's a waste and a sin.

Seriously?? This is a pigeon shoot and they use shotguns and based on the damage to the unit, it got hit by a shotgun. There is a HUGE difference in the sound of a rifle and a shotgun. One thing you really call a shotgun blast is "sharp". Either these twits are utterly clueless, they are exaggerating what happened (my best guess) or they staged this. Either way, these people are idiots.

The "sharp sound of a rifle"... Judging by the damage done, this was done by a shotgun, not a rifle. Additionally, hitting a small moving target with a rifle is FAR from easy, while hitting one with a shotgun is much simpler. Now at an event with a whole bunch of shotguns, just which one do you think would have been used?? These dumbasses couldn't tell the difference between the sound of shotgun vs. a rifle. The comment about hearing the sharp sound of a rifle is complete crap. I'm pretty sure that their little dronette got shot down, but the comment showed the level of ignorance that these idiots have.

Call me crazy but I'll bet people who are not gun buffs use the terms interchangeably. They probably say pistol for hand gun and rifle for a long gun.
So that doesn't mean the are "dumbasses" just not familiar with the particular subject lingo.

Yes, and for a reporter to print such nonsense also makes him/her a ****ing dumbass who didn't do his/her job.

Also, if this was private property that these idiots were flying their drone, then I believe they people who blasted it had every right to do so.

LOL. They ought to put up flyers for a "pigeon shoot," but inform all the gun club memebers that it'll actually be a "drone shoot!"

There is a lot to question here. I mean how low is this drone if you can hit it with bird shot?
