Frankly, I think that's wise.
I think it's wise for people to think for and be responsible for themselves.

So how would you handle an actor/actress who requires that their male partner be protected at all times, but then the guy "ungloves" at the last moment? Should this be considered a form of assault or just grounds for firing and a possible lawsuit??

Both. The guy should be fired and the company sued.

The industry doesn't want to change. It won't encourage workers to wear condoms. The industry has to be forced to change for the health and safety of its workers.

Once again this is an issue of exploiting the work force. It is the porn industry that thinks some guy won't buy or rent the movie because he won't be able to jerk off to it the actor is wearing a condom.

I don't give a **** about "the industry". The workers CHOOSE where they work. If they WANT to wear condoms, that is THEIR CHOICE. If they don't, that is THEIR CHOICE.

Or at least, it should be their choice. But that would require allowing people to think for themselves.

The porn industry and all of the workers know full well that if everyone is wearing condoms their sales will drop in half. Which means workers will lose their jobs. Workers are not "exploited". They CHOOSE where to work.

We require construction workers to wear hard hats because it saves lives. Same can be said for requiring condoms of sex workers.

And if you don't want to wear the hard hat, you find a job doing something else.

Why is this particular point so hard to follow?

If you don't want to use a condom, don't work in the porn industry.

I would point out that VOTERS decided the porn industry should make their actors use condoms. Once again, a billion dollar bully industry is protesting safety practices for their workers.

The Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act, also known as Measure B, was the brainchild of the L.A.-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which bills itself as the largest AIDS healthcare organization in the world.

The group's president, Michael Weinstein, waged a mostly lonely battle for condoms in sex scenes for a decade, ramping up public pressure on officials in 2005 after the HIV infection of three actresses by a porn star.

Does wearing a hard hat cut into half of the worker's profits?
