We have already tried talking to them. They are hell bent on making a bomb and not at all interested in working something out. Any peace ploy now will only buy time for them to finish making the bomb and then there will be no talking to them at all. The way I see it this is the work of Ahmadinejad. If he and his regime get overthrown maybe somebody more reasonable will come to power that we can work with.

I trust the President we have in office to be at the ready when and if they overthrow. But you have to remember Ama-dean-of-jihad is just a puppet to the clergy. They would be in full control in a stone aged Iran. 80% is pretty austere and looks to be working.
Pearl Harbor was bombed because of a trade war. That clarifies for me that economic sanctions has a tipping point where it will reverse effect.

I am of the opinion that this was probably the plan--even if it had been developed only sketchily--and was to serve as an "October Surprise." But once the word got out, the plan was spoiled, and so it has been rescinded.

Of course, we will probably never know for sure...

I understand he's a puppet but if there is already unrest with protests that means things are not going well. If we keep the santions going the people may overthrow the current government. As far as a terrorist attack like pearl Harbor, they will do it whether we keep the santions up or not. Any agreement we get from them it merely lip service to get them what they want.
