He never says 13% INCOME TAX...he says taxes. I don't feel like he's on the up and up. I think he should follow his dad's lead and prove that he paid income taxes.

Plus, he thinks it's "small-minded" to ask him about it. His dad didn't think that.

What I do find wrong in the Romney/Ryan plan is you the old people don't suffer for your poor choices.
His tax breaks mean nothing to me, YOU expecting full compensation for a failed program does piss me off.
I think YOU should lose at least 20% of your benefits. You caused this problem not Romney, or me, my wife, our kid. YOU caused it.

I think what is fair is you leave what the tax payers are paying out of the equation and let's start with cutting your benefits.
You're the one that seems to think we all owe you, I think I can watch you suffer the consequences of your actions. You and yours caused this, we didn't.
WTF are you talking about my actions? And I do not get any government funds paid in r otherwise. My spouse gets a veterans and a social security retirement. He has his choice of the VA or Medicare which he pays for every month besides what he paid into it for about 55 years. Like me he started out working early (6 years old with a shoe shine stand) but didn't pay into the system till he was a teenager.
WE did not invent this retirement plan. It was in place when we started working.
I say if you are such a hater of this system wait till YOU retire and start changing the program. We like it just fine.

My net tax rate over the last 20 years has been right around 15% (+/- 3%), not 30% and I don't know anyone who is paying that much, so where do you get your numbers from???

The old retired codgers are the ones that let this system stand and now it's going broke taking the rest of us down with it. So yes, you caused the problem but now all the solutions are centered around making sure you get your full pay benefits. It's bullsh*t, you should be the ones to lose benefits not us.

We are trying to change the system because it sucks. I'm not going to wait until I retire to vote for that change because I don't feel I should have to pay for your benefits.

So we just take Romney on his word?

I mean, there's a really easy way he can back up his own assertions and also make a fool out of Sen. Reid.

Something he could do.... something he wanted his primary rivals to do... something his own father did...

Hmmm..

I don't.

So should we just take Reid at his word??? All Reid has to do is back up his assertions and he can make a fool out of Romney. If Reid had anything solid, it would be splashed across the media, but it hasn't been. No source, no proof, just a completely unsupported accusation.

Why do I have a feeling most of the people wanting to see Romney's tax records are the same ones who attacked others for wanting to see Obama's birth certificate.

Have to love hypocrisy.

Romney has met the requirements and provided everything needed to run for president.

End of story.

This whole tax nonsense is simply a distraction. And not a very good one.
