Despite the Republican refusal to admit the significance, the upper crust paying less than the average worker is a huge sticking point.

The reality is that NOBODY is going to be swayed if Obama releases his transcript.
The Repubs are just trying to dig to figure out if they can locate dirt.
With Obama's birth certificate, despite the obfuscation from the right, the proper channels were followed in acknowledging he was born in U.S. of A.

But with Romney's tax returns, what we HAVE seen has shown enough to recognize what he's trying to hide. A probable history of obscenely low tax rates...
I totally agree. Do you find it the highest irony that Romney's dad is the person that set a standard, of sorts, to release more than is required?

Pretty hefty repubs/supporters are in the "release more" camp. Do you think that Romney has decided there is less damage done in not releasing than in the release of 10 or more years? I do. That leaves me wondering what he's hiding.

Romney's taxes are a huge sticking point for people that wouldn't vote for him anyway. Judging from the lack of problems with the IRS he paid the taxes he was obligated to pay. The complaint is he didn't pay more. Who does that? Not Obama or Biden either.

Not all. I am certain there are some independents and moderates who will hold it against him. Statistics prove it is inevitable.

That is my thought on the matter. When you skip out on taxes for ten years while making the kind of money Romney has, someone usually notices.

If you think that, then you're misjudging the situation...
This issue (rich paying low tax rates) extends into the MODERATE arena as well...

The complaint is that he paid less than a LOT of working tax payers out there.
THAT is the issue.

From what I heard, he's challenged politicians in two separate elections to release their tax returns...
A challenge of "You release yours, I'll release mine"...
So, the irony is on multiple levels.

Pawlenty was asked by Romney to provide "several" or "a bunch" of years of tax returns during the vp vetting process. It's so funny how he takes a pregnant pause before answering the question on "This Week".

Romney = hypocrite
