I will have a more logical and educated opinion on whether or not the father will be charged when I see the final reports regarding if the girl was sexually assaulted and the cause of death to the man.

I think he'll be charged, but charged with what will be determined by whether or not the girl's examination reveals signs of sexual trauma, and/or if people other than the father heard the girl screaming and/or if people other than the father witnessed anything.

Charged?? How about a "World's Greatest Daddy" award?? In the same situation, my response would have been the same. The only difference would have been that they would have never found his body. The guy would have been incapacitated and silenced and then after my daughter was taken care of, he would have been buried in the desert with a note nailed to his head explaining that he was a child molestor caught in the act and got his just desserts.

I don't think that anyone would argue differently IF the man was actually assaulting the girl. The problem is proving THAT. Even if they do prove that, he may still be charged with something lesser.

If the group did actually hear the girl screaming, I'd gather he won't be charged. However, I too am skeptical about an entire group of people hearing someone scream and only ONE person going to help. (especially in a somewhat private, family situation such as this was)
