A persons integrity defines them in my book, not skin color. I have NEVER spoken ill of someone because of the color of their skin.

Your values again clash with mine. I'm glad I don't listen to these bozos. I wish "the news" didn't pick up everything they say and break wind about.

Salty go here quick, OK.

FM NewsTalk 97.1 - St. Louis | The Dana Show

Now scroll down until you see something called "Mailbag of hate". Click.

It's a regular feature she does. Ok now email her with your take on right wing radio talkshow hosts. You'll get on "Mailbag of hate" for sure, and I've gotta hear her do your voice.

Relevant to the topic here though, she's got another one there with Steven Crowder where they discuss the hate mail they've been getting on Steven saying the word "Knickers". You know, like the things the tolerant left is intolerant of. It's cute.

Concerning Whitney, does anybody look at those gossip rag-mags when they're going through the checkout? Apparently you can show pictures of Whitney being a crack ho, you just can't call her one.

You consider that a fair evaluation?

And would they have said "ho" if she were White? Really?
If she were a white, long-time celebrity drug addict? Probably.
They call Lindsey Lohan a ho. They called Anna Nicole Smith one, even after she died.
It's sexist- surely nobody actually believes these celebrities are prostitutes- but not really racist, in my opinion.

edit: one difference I just thought of is that the white celebrity drug addicts I just mentioned were famous for, well... nothing in particular. They were mostly famous for being trainwrecks, and posing in men's magazines while they did it.
Whitney Houston had an undeniable talent, at least at one point in her earlier life.
Perhaps a better comparison would be to Amy Winehouse, another crack addict whose talent was pretty universally acknowledged.
Her death- and even the downward trajectory that preceded it- was treated more like a tragedy. After she was dead, I don't remember anyone calling her names.
So maybe there is a little bit of racism at play. White celebrity drug addicts are "ho's" only if they're no-account, famous-for-being-famous talentless losers, whereas the black equivalent of Amy Winehouse is also referred to as a "ho", while a talented white celebrity like Winehouse herself (or Joplin) is not referred to as a "crack ho" but rather is perceived as a tragic figure who suffered from, and ultimately succumbed to, the disease of drug addiction. So maybe Flamingos is right.

There are some cool stuff in those mags! Apparantely according to one of them Elvis is still alive and well and was sad to hear the passing of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

I am a big proponent of getting smut out of the check out where kids can see it. I have been successful with some home town chains. Proud to say. People who like the rags can ask for them as they would a play boy or play girl. And yes I used to scan the sewing mags and news mags as I waited in line. Now we are bombarded with the same gruff some listen to on the radio as we make our purchases.
Funny how weird the world is now. The hate coming out of talk radio...and then claims that people who don't approve of this are the haters.
