Sounds like I was over-analyzing then.

oh I listened. Let's wait for his platitudes and hand waving to materialize into a bill. You know, that bill that needs to be passed immediatly. I wonder if congress will be allowed to read it before they're pressured to pass it. You know, let's pass it to see what's in it.

Agreed, but ya know...I was just watching CNN, and the scroll was saying Obama's going to present something to congress on Monday.

The speed there is interesting, I think. I wonder if he could be serious this time. I wonder if maybe this one isn't just about the games. I'll wait for Monday, but my first impulse is, Nah...

He isn't serious and doesn't care if anyone gets back to work. He needs something to look like he is trying for re-election. He's basically f*cked right now and knows it.

The president made it very clear that this plan was designed to take away that uncertainty. Burdensome regulations are to be cut as well as personal and business taxes. They will also receive more tax breaks if they do hire.

What this bill does is take away any excuse businesses have for not hiring. It also will put an avg. of $1500 in the pockets of tax payers who will in turn spend with those businesses, creating more demand, thus more jobs. More jobs then multiply that demand meaning more hiring.

This jobs plan is not like the first stimulus program. It creates an atmosphere for the free market to expand and heal itself.
In passing, I'll mention that uncertainty is essentially an emotional state. I'm not sure that a vastly powerful entity such as the Federal Government by suddenly changing course, implementing new programs on a whim and altering major polices after brief thought is likely to reduce it.

It puts me in mind of a giant proving to a small person that he is harmless by casually crushing a car in his hand an pointing out in a reasonable voice, "see I didn't do that to your head, there's nothing to be afraid of."

The bill was dilivered to congress last night. Nothing online yet that I have found. If anyone comes across the bill, please post. We'll then know the details of what we are discussing.

I think the bill has to be officially submitted by an actual member of Congress...

Nothing is going to happen, because republican's could care less about this country.

But if you looked at the recent poll numbers, this country cares even less about them.
