It's paid for by having congress cut even more spending than they originally approved. Did you miss that part?

The stock market goes down 200 points one day, and up 200 the next. This happens every day whether the president is speaking or not. Trying to equate the two is a fallacious talking point. Nothing more.

I emphasized, "so little". As a rule, when the president makes a speech, it's a smorgasbord of right wing destruction on his every word. This one seems to have shut up all those except the loons who would criticize Obama, even if it were revealed that he were Christ himself.

And I'm telling you talk of the speech is all over the right wing media. What will it take to prove that to you. It's difficult, because I don't think you actually click links.

OK so I've given you links to Fox News, Reason TV/Magazine (it's kind of libertarian central), and the well known (on the right) blog HotAir. Would you like 17 more? That will make an even 20.

Or wait a minute, you weren't claiming you know anything about right wing media were you, because if you claimed that it would make me laugh. This idea you have Right wing media didn't discuss the jobs speech is something you heard on Media Matters, or something like that, right?

Oh hey, here's a good one from the right wing media, you won't see on the left wing MSM. Remember when they made such a big thing about Sarah Palin getting history on Paul Revere wrong, even though it turned out she had it right? Well...

Obama

gaffed historically on

Not to even mention that the drop on Friday was due to economic issues in Europe.

But hey, if there's even one in a million chance to blame Obama.....the right will make it a stretch goal.

How would they do that? The guy you're agreeing with there was telling us the speech was of such substantiated brilliance nobody on the right would dare discuss it. He's wrong of course, but you should know that's what the actual point was. On a list of right wing references to the speech that can grow as big as you'd like it, I was showing how the right wing stock analysts at (I think it's called) Breakout were mentioning the drop, and pointing out the fact it followed the speech.

I'm sure there are multiple opinions on what caused the stock market drop the following day, but we know one thing for sure. It wasn't a rise.

Of course the right wing was blaming it on Obama.

The facts don't corroborate it however.

Fear about Europe, US drags Dow down 300
Quote:
NEW YORK (AP) -- The problems that have weighed on investors all summer -- European debt and fear of a new recession in the United States -- hammered the stock market Friday. The Dow Jones industrial average fell more than 300 points.

The plunge erased the week's gains for stocks and sent the Dow below 11,000. It had not closed below that level since Aug. 22, after several weeks of extraordinary volatility.

The European Central Bank said a top official, Juergen Stark, was resigning almost three years before the end of his term in 2014, revealing deep disagreement over how to solve economic problems in Europe.

Traders fear that one of the continent's heavily indebted economies could default, an event that would ripple through the global banking system and make it difficult for other European countries to borrow money.

In fact....... Economists show support for Obama job-growth plan
Quote:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A tentative thumbs-up.

That's the assessment from economists, who have offered mainly positive reviews of President Barack Obama's $447 billion plan to stimulate job creation.

Some predict it would put hundreds of thousands of people back to work next year, mainly because a Social Security tax cut for workers would be deepened and extended to small businesses.

"Payroll tax cuts are very powerful," says Allen Sinai, chief economist of Decision Economics. "They provide a boost to direct income and, in turn, spending, which is important to growth."

Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, estimates that the president's plan would boost economic growth by 2 percentage points, add 2 million jobs and reduce unemployment by a full percentage point next year compared with existing law.

As I said earlier, some people are just so damn desparate......they are trying to show a causal factor between Obama's speech and the DJIA.
