I don't see anything going down in my area.

Gas just went up again (regular). From $3.81 to $3.87 at the Hess, and that's the cheapest here.
We've seen it for as much as $3.93.
Odd, they went down at my store from $2.48 to $1.98. A lot of stuff is down actually, again it just may be seasonal. We sold 3pk tomatoes for a buck last summer, come last winter they doubled in price, and today(spring) they're down to $1.50.

And yea Roma tomatoes are good.

It was an absolute madhouse today at Wally World, we were at near-holiday crowds, spent five and a half hours just filing my department. I enjoy this whole doin' business thing, hope the trend continues.

That is a bit like one's noting that, excluding the two categories of groundouts and flyouts, a baseball player's batting percentage is over .750...

I guess some things are regional. Gas dropped again here for the 8th straight day, Milk is $3.28 and bread is .99 for a lb loaf. And for Trinnity, Roma tomatoes have gone from $1.99 to $1.19 a lb. All indications are prices are going back down, but what Obama hater would want that to happen, or admit if it did?

Did you really just say that?

Want to know a few more things that are ending?
The war in Iraq
The war in Afghanistan
Gitmo
High insurance premiums
High health care costs
High unemployment rates

No one has said they have ended, but are moving in the right direction.

Oh wait, none of those are ending.
Funny how you want to claim it is ending when the title of the article says it may be peaking.

Oh, by the way, the title of the news article is "Consumer inflation may be peaking, economists say". Last I looked, the board rules say you are supposed to use the actual title of the news article for the thread title, not make sh!t up.
Maybe an unbiased mod will notice that.

The title said "peeking". The first sentence of the article said "over". I said "ended". That's an issue that needs mod intervention? Don't they all mean they same thing in the context of the story?
You're reaching into the abyss.

In baseball, where only a few factors influence a batters avg., that would be absurd. With an economy where a multitude of factors covering millions of products are concerned, it's not so unreasonable.

Produce prices are dropping around here and other food prices should follow when lower gas prices kick in.

Business are hiring at the fasted pace since 2006. The dow has recovered and continues to rise. People who lost so much in the crash are getting back what they lost.

The tide has turned and the economy is strengthening. I think the next month or two will tell us if this recovery will continue to gain strength or will fizzle out. Economist say we're on the way up. I hope they are right.
What planet are you living on? Planet "not this one"?
We're in a double dip recession, and the summer blends come in per mandate, by June 1st, meaning a 10 cent increase in gas, and a corresponding increase in everything that's trucked.
