I don't know, Salty. I do remember her mother freaked when she called the police about the dead body smell in the trunk, and then she washed Casey's smelly clothes and ever since backed Casey. I figure she's helping cover for her. I guess dad is too.

They're parents. She's their child. Maybe Casey told them it was an accident and they don't want to lose her too.

I guess it's easy to "blame the parents" but the mom always gave me the impression that when her daughter was born it was her parents' decision she keep it and that then their maternal/paternal instincts turned solely toward the grand baby. Big kids need so much love too and we forget that I think.
don't know if she killed her or not, but I'm convinced she knew and was complicit in some way. Guess I wouldn't make a good juror.

After all juror candidates were dismissed for the day, Circuit Judge Belvin Perry warned prosecutors that having them smell evidence during the trial may turn them into "lay witnesses" which isn't allowed.

word is: Ms. Anthony and her attorneys are ticked at the parents and don't want them allowed in court. The suggestion that dad/granddad helped dispose of body has been dismissed as not likely by a judge. The parents are going to be testifying against her and Ms. Anthony's attornies' hopes are that they can shift some doubt off Casey and onto her parents. That's a daughter for ya.

but a murdering daughter will do anything, even blame her parents in order to keep herself out of jail and punishment. I'll bet she'd live a good life with her parents wrongfully jailed for the death of her daughter. and not even look back.

I'm sure that makes the grandparents feel better to know that no one is profitting off the death of their only grandchild. And i'm sure they're torn. Their daughter is on trial for the murder of their granddaughter. I think that family unit is pretty much destroyed even if Casey gets off.
