What we are talking about here is a failure of foreign policy. I don't understand why every issue has to be attacked/defended on a partisian basis. Did the Bush administration screw up? Yeah, I'd say pre-emptively invading and occupying a foreign country based on lies and deceit is a pretty big screw up. Did the Obama administration screw up by pulling a secret sting on a Mexican cartel without letting the Mexican authorities know what was up a pretty big screw up? Yeah, I'd say it was.
I'd be a lot more comfortable with people discussing issues rather than trying to throw partisian stones at each other. My take is that all partisian hacks are just that. They study the party platform and ideology without bothering to look at the real world implications of the mantras they parrot. Bush did absolutely nothing in his 8 years in office to resolve the border problems, and Obama hasn't done anything different. Allowing huge shipments of arms into Mexico just to discover where they are going... duh, they are going to drug cartels, obviously... is a vital foreign relations faux pax. So is invading a country because it has non-existent WMD's. Quit focusing on party politics, please, and start discussing foreign policies that are in the best interest of the USA itself, not the GOP or Democratic parties. Gawk, partisian pissing matches make my teeth ache. |

I have little problem with that. It's like blaming your five pound cat and your 90 pound Rottweiler equally or your per food costs, but there it is. Bush, was in many ways, many of the things a Republican, much less a Conservative should never be. All better now?

Oh sweetie...
Your hypocritical actions do not have any bearing on my health. So you can stop with the fake worry. No problems here... Quote:
Just a little while ago it was "The Administration does not control the economy. See "Free Market."" when talking about Bush. My how quickly that worm turned... Quote:
You can't help but want to dig your own grave on this issue... ![]() Would you like to get a summary of the cost of the "stimulus" legislation that Bush approved? Your "five pound cat" analogy is woefully short on facts. But that's the way things are when Repubs try to lash out at Obama while insisting that Bush doesn't have much on him...

Here's one for you... Bush didn't approve the stimulus package...Obama signed that in February of 2009...AFTER Bush was gone... What you're speaking of is TARP...which were loans... I have been VEHEMENTLY against the bailouts from the beginning, too, so don't go that route... ![]() Hmmm...The Left got us to talk about Bush in a thread about guns currently going to Mexico with supervision from Obama's Executive Branch departments... Distraction successful... ![]()

No.

Okay... I never disputed that Obama signed approval for stimulus package. ![]() Quote:
But still would violate OftenCold's commentary on *government's role* in economics... So my point is still relevant, despite your pointless distraction. Quote:
If you want me to admit that some Republicans are consistent? I'll happily do so. Hopefully you aren't trying to provide a distraction by pointing to Repubs who were consistent to avoid my point that there are a LOT of Repubs who are blatantly hypocritical. Quote:
Bush was just the EXAMPLE proving that hypocrisy. Your response is an attempted distraction from that point. ![]()
