No, I don't. I've stated time and again that I acknowledge the necessity of 'secrets' in specific situations and endeavors. But after those (missions, endeavors, whatever) are completed, we should have the information then.

That's kind of the whole ****ing point. How do I know if I want to change my employees if I'm kept in the dark about what my employees are doing?

While I share your cynicism of Gov't as a general rule, I also understand that there is a way the world works, a way it should work and the two don't always match.

Truth is how to fix the problem. Wisdom cannot be gleaned from lies and coverups.

I'll happily sit on the side of knowledge.

You don't release information on missions after they are over! Are you freaking joking? Let's say I, 007 USA Joe does some secret mission...

After it's all said and done... why should the world know what or how it was done. You want to ruin the ability to use that technique again? Yes, yes you do.

We use XXX way to accomplish XXX goal via Diplomacy, but you would like us to show our hands when we were really bluffing. BRILLIANT!

Also note how RR ignored the point that the Gov't Workers are not OUR employees. The Management of said employees are "our employees" I.E. Senators, Congressman and the President. A rather tacit admittance that RR could not counter that reality.

Well philosophically I tend to disagree with your assertion. I would argue that government workers are indeed our employees because our taxes pay for their salary. However, like with any "big business", we don't make every decision for every department. We hire people to do that.

Investors are essentially owners of businesses (think stocks). So all the employees are technically yours though you have no power to take action against them and they don't report to you. They report to the individuals you have selected to represent your interests.

But I don't see it as an important argument either direction.

While I completely agree with debateman's assessment, I'd love for you to show me where I stated that the average federal govt worker was an employee of ours. I've repeatedly referred to those that we HIRE via Election. Who the **** do you think gives the orders to the ones we don't elect?

Who do you think actually gets most of the work done?

And who orders the work to be done and tells them how to do it and is reported to about the results of said work?

I was a govt contractor for years, I know the answer.

Oh so now is this guy still admired by anyone? He's blackmailing the world gov'ts saying "you an't stop me, and if you do I'll ruin...."

He's a ****ing egomaniac that needs to be shot. And he's gonna get a bullet, or a mysterious death. He's playin with fire. The Russians, the Israelis, China... they think they might be threatened and he's going to "disappear"

In the good old days during WWII he would have been found dead.
