In time, that might not do any good either. As train travel picks up they will prob'ly start doing it at stations as well.... And that makes me think of ships, and buses. What then? I guess we'll all be driving or hitching a ride with someone going our way.....

I would consider illegal search of my person a fairly serious liberty violation. It will be temporary, until they come up with something else more intrusive.

And just how many terrorists have been caught by the TSA? I am willing to bet the answer is a big fat zero.

They can tighten up security all they want. They will simply find another way to bring a plane down. Perhaps a hand-held missile launcher?

Once again, the method employed by El Al? Not the method proposed by the former head of HSA and current lobbyist for the scanner pat down machines? All I can see is paper shuffling, and of course all I can hear is the whir of money shuffling on Capital Hill by the same happy as shrite lobbyist? We already know that YOU won't be subjecting yourself to these scanners ever. So even though you are not using them yourself, you can tell us, how is it that you feel safer?

Part of the problem is there isn't a drop of safety involved in what the government is doing "on behalf of the American people." The terrorists aren't flying in by DC 10, they are already here.
