That's awesome thank's for posting. I would have loved to be on that plane.

I thought about making the long drive to help the animals, but I have 9 dogs at my house and 35 at our sanctuary now. Unfortunately that is more than we are supposed to have, at both locations.

Cousins who live on the outskirts of the Houston area, but came out of it relatively unscathed, have 3 dogs, 1 cow and 1 Bull, several goats, chickens, unknown number of cats, have taken in another dozen or so critters in temporarily. In addition to gutting out the insides of my 92 year old Aunt's house which was flooded during Harvey.

I won't tell about yer overage of critters, if you don't.

A Georgia man and several volunteers held a large cookout for Florida evacuees on Saturday.
Chad Harrison, who lives in Valdosta, Georgia, said he was watching a lot of negative news about Florida residents being stuck on the main highway, I-75, while trying to leave the state ahead of Hurricane Irma, and he wanted to do something to help.

He decided to ask a couple of co-workers at the auto body shop where he works to chip in and help, but once the word spread, donations began to pour in.
“It’s a huge storm. Being from the south, it’s something that we felt like we needed to do. We just take care of our neighbors,” Harrison told InsideEdition.com.

Harrison and other volunteers gathered by the highway and began grilling for anyone that wanted to stop by and eat.
With signs that read, “Free Food For Evacuees,” Harrison and the community were able to feed around 2,000 people. They also filled up several evacuees’ gas tanks.

“It was beautiful,” Harrison said. “I cooked meals. I filled up gas. I filled in where it needed to be, everyone did."
He said the response to the community’s gesture has been great and people were really thankful.

“People had tears of joy,” Harrison said. “It’s just hard to describe when you see a child who has nothing and all of a sudden, they have to get on the road and run from a category 5 hurricane. You can imagine the stress level of the parents. They were blessed.”

As of Sunday after Irma’s forecasted path shifted, a hurricane warning was in effect for Valdosta as well, which is right on the Georgia-Florida line.

True.... , and humans are also children of God.. We failed our self.

Man kind choose from the earliest of civilizations, cities, to go with a society set up for gains.. Profits. Ideas became businesses. And a profit driven economy started.

Which works best, if run fairly...........

In stead of communal type sharing, communities where bartering is part of life.

The idea being body is above any other.
