I still have a letter from an old New Zealand girlfriend, after I had mentioned in a letter to her that my father took the side of Argentina in the Falklands thingy, it was almost like a dear John letter. It makes me want to cry just to think about it. My father had an Indian girlfriend when stationed in Indian in WWII and hated the way the British treated them.

That is basically saying the UK has no sovereignty rights there. The same could be said with regard to many of our Islands far removed from the continent.

Certainly an attack against many of those US Islands over the sovereignty claims should prompt the UK to take a position of strict neutrality.
