Damn......

Some of the comments between members here seem to get pretty harsh at times.....

I hate to see that. It's not necessary........

I'm a democrat but, most of my friends are republicans and we all get along real well for the most part. Agreeing to disagree is much better than name calling......

I enjoy hearing takes that are different than mine so I can learn another mind set on the same issue. Sometimes I get excited too and the debates can get heated. If I ever get out of line, or say too much to any member here, please let me know and I'll correct the situation.....

I've really enjoyed this forum for the past couple of weeks........

Stinger is one of those people, who would take issue with a father's outrage, over his daughter's murder. He advocates maintaining the status quo and defends the policies of corporate tyranny. He trolls around making ridiculuous statements, then, when confronted with evidence to the contrary, he moves on to another thread and refuses to address it.

He constantly throws out strawman arguments, which I find disrespectful. In one example, he claimed that I, an anti-war protestor, advocated for a military draft.

We are at war in this country. It is not a war of nation-states, it is a war of class. It is a war between the 1% that make up the wealthiest person's in the world and the other 99% that you, I and Stinger live in.

I'm sorry if I seem a little harsh towards him, but he gets what he gives. He thinks nothing of the fact that over a million people have died because of a "decision" that was made in our name, but is outraged by my use of profanity.

There is something wrong with that picture.

I'm sorry that it has to be that way.....

But, I understand that happens in formats like this sometimes......

You have some very interesting takes BR.....

I always enjoy reading your posts.....

Your points are strong enough to stand on their own without the "other stuff"......

Just sayin..........

So let's look at a few of the details of the proposed legislation.

What I like is the fact that donors will be identified across the board and the Company and Union donations must be made public within the commercial. Not only that..officials representing the entity must also appear in the video...

This legislation is designed to (highlight) anyone who opposes it and I predict it will eventually become law.

It may become law, if the current Congress can ever pass another piece of major legislation. Frankly, this is beginning to seem unlikely.

Why don't you spare us your constant trolling?

Or at the very least, address the issues I raise?

Maybe one day, until then your juvenile rants and bogus proclamations are transparent to all so spare us all.

Once again

"The law leaves in place rules that keep corporate donors from contributing directly to politicians, but struck down key parts of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law that barred union- and corporate-sponsored issue ads within 30 days of an election."
Supreme Court Removes Limits on Corporate, Union Spending in Campaigns -- Politics Daily

"In the Citizens United case, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations and labor unions can make direct contributions to independent campaigns, as long as they are not coordinated with individual candidates. They are still barred from making direct contributions to candidates."
Ruling may help politics as usual - Local/State - NewsObserver.com

Other than that I have no interest in your uncivil juvenile postings and you know what I am talking about so don't try to deny it. Go play in your sandbox now.

You have to edit my posts in order to set up your trolling rebuttal.

That's very disengenuous.
