If I were to ask how 25 members how they would moderate, I'd come up with 25 different answers (possibly 50)...

That's why we do things that best benefit the forum in total instead of appeasing certain members because they have a certain perception...
When I had a forum, I used the term "at whim" often in the terms of use to describe my paramaters for barring users and editing posts. Saved a lot of arguments with users, and I did not have to make very many silly posts like above defending myself. The problems I did have mostly involved spam.

Oh, quite your bitching!

I've only seen 2-3 official mod actions since I became a member. That's a pretty hands off approach to me. Far too many mods, think they have to act like a mod, to be a mod. But here, they let people be themselves. For me, I feel like I have carte blanche to say whatever I want too, and I'm the most foul-mouthed poster on this website. And you are no one to be complaining about someone being "derogatory" and "baiting'. You're as bad as I am. So take your beating like a man and move on.

Or maybe you should be thankful for the things people don't say!

My bad. I didn't know the 6-day rule was still in effect.
