    Hi,
I found a page of free little ornament patterns you can make out of scraps. Don't know if you have time to make any ornaments, but these look super fast and easy!

I used to make and sell a lot of bedroom dolls and trinket box dolls. (Fancy senoritas and southern bells ). I'm expecting another grandchild in the spring, so I will get to some of the baby stuff-I hope soon. This year with the economy the way it is, I decided to make all my Christmas gifts. Many of them will be crotchet I imagine, but I might get funky and do some painting and other crafting. (I have a special craving to do one of those little pine cone Christmas trees embedded in a plaster of Paris base. And cookies are always a favorite.
You know what would be a good idea?! If we started this coming January, settled on a pattern and each made a big square each month. That would give us 24 squares. I could send you mine the first year and you could sew them together and donate to a nursing home or anyone you think would enjoy the thought and the warmth!
Wouldn't that be a good idea?. (You'll have to press me on this; I have good ideas all the time (I mean well as they say), but I would do it if you're interested. It's only one square a month. You pick the afghan pattern. Just a plain granny square is O.K. with me or whatever.
Anyway, how's the ferry business? I got myself involved in trying to save the local library, so that takes up some of my time.
    Good talking with you.

Hi Salt, Gonna use the santa picture at christmas. I see where you do a lot of crocheting while on your road trips. what do you make? right now I am making baby blankets and hats for our church baby shower. I pulled up "crochet" online and came up with a whole bunch of 'free' patterns. I printed them and made a folder for them. Maybe someday I'll make something. lol
