good for Jim after years of having to kowtow to that miserable creep Donnie. and good for his fellow journalist for sticking up for him.

that sunava pleeb just thinks the free press is a joke when he dodges questions concerning investigations into his activities.
he's a wart on democracy's backside. and he thinks he's smart. I sure hope he gets his comeuppance.

What a scumbag Acosta is. Dude tried to manipulate the entire time with his partisan bs and had the nerve to put his hands on a woman.

Dude deserves to have his press credentials suspended and shouldn't ever be allowed to attend briefings again.

The press has been shameful. Instead of askin' q's 'bout jobs, economy, infrastructure, national security, we get, "Mr. President, how long have you been a racist!" "Why did you become a racist!" "Will you ever stop being a racist!"

As I said, shameful press. They couldn't hide their partisan bias if their lives depended on it.

And in this video, Eugene Robinson has a great point re Trump perhaps staging the whole "racist" accusation he hurled at Yamiche Alcindor of PBS.

There is no 1st Amendment right to badger. There is also no rule a president HAS to respond. There is ALSO no rule the president even has to take a question from a particular member of the press (or anyone)...

Let's skip this "1st Amendment" crap...It....does...not...apply...:no

As a side note...This is from YESTERDAY...

Mr. Accessible: Trump takes 68 questions from 35 reporters, three times as much as Obama

President Trump has become the most accessible president in recent history, and his freewheeling post-election press conference Wednesday was the latest proof.

Dispelling on live television that he hides from the press, Trump took 68 questions from 35 reporters. And if the failed follow-up questions are included, the number soars closer to 90.

How does that compare to the press conference former President Barack Obama took after he was clobbered in the first midterm election he faced?

In that 2010 performance, Obama took 22 questions from 10 reporters who offered soft questions, not the types of challenges Trump faced.

The media has often tried to portray Trump as anti-media and somebody who refuses to give the press access.

But while he often stirs it up with the press and knocks his media critics, like CNN, he has made himself more available to reporters than any recent president.

CBS White House correspondent Major Garrett, for example, told Washington Secrets, ďThere is more access to this president than there was to Obama. We see him all the time. He takes questions a lot."

Trump is so much more accessible than Obama ever was, but it will NEVER be enough for the haters...:no :(

Never thought I'd see the day the press corps accuses the president of bein' a white supremacist. Should be ashamed of themselves.

In a way this is a good thing. It shows the only thing the press can do is play the race card. They can't attack Trump on the economy, jobs, or anything else because it's all doin' great. So they're forced to play some fictional race card and pretend Trump is some KKK leader.

when a president of the united states calls "the" media the enemy of the people, that is harming the 1st Amendment. So quit pretending this happened in a vacuum. Every time reporters ask real questions about things the public should know, Trump gets belligerent; but more than that, he set this war against free speech up from the get-go, at his rallies. And stupid R candidates have copied him.

Lying through your teeth or avoiding most questions is not "accessible".
