MSNBC host Katy Tur questions the relevance of the Constitution, makes embarrassing error

Quote:
On Wednesday, MSNBC host Katy Tur posed an interesting question about the Constitution. ďDo you think itís appropriate to continue to take such a strict, originalist view of the Constitution, given itís 2018 and not 1776,Ē Tur questioned J.D. Vance, her Republican guest.

While there are many holes in her logic, one stands out: the Constitution wasnít ratified until 1788.

I would give her a pass on that. She was speaking of the general era no doubt.

The major hole in her contention is that there is already a way to change/update the Constitution...Through and actual amendment passed by Congress and ratified by the states...

Unfortunately, we have the "evolving Constitution" crowd that bypasses this on a regular basis...

I'm laughing because she's 12 years off....

I would've responded with, “Do you think it’s appropriate to continue to call your company a "news outlet"?...
