why would cali or seattle go out of state to regulate isp providers?

also the states are looking at municipal broadband.
the us has the slowest internet in the world
no competition. they need to make it a public utility like ($6/month for broadband) UK did

If the states are trying to pass "net neutrality" laws, then sorry, but it has to affect interstate transmissions and transactions, thus making their laws unconstitutional. It doesn't matter that the broadband is municipal if it carries data from any point other than that state.

if its municipal there's no need for worrying about net neutrality because the isp is the city , state or community.

I don't know about your interstate clause but I'd bet these bozos will throw everything they can at states who want the internet less restricted again.

The interstate clause as you call it is part of the constitution. You know, that document that is the basic foundation of our government.

not by physically moving no. You don't use public Interstates that's for sure. in the United States of America, an interstate compact is an agreement between two or more states.
we already have one approved for sales tax and fugitive surrender/ look for missing children on the internet. other than that if all your equipment is local, you can tell the gvt to go do what rabbits do frequently

besides if the internet is now UNREGULATED it is defacto ok to go about yo bizznezz. capice?

If the service you use crosses state lines it is regulatable by the federal government.

How am I going to buy products on the internet without my internet crossing state lines? Amazon and Ebay are the big examples but I also buy products from art dealers via the internet and they are usually small 1 - 8 person operations outside of my state. That is interstate commerce.

Edit to add:
Back in the olden days when we had to pay extra for long distance phone calls, it cost more to call from CA to NY than it did to call from CA to AZ.
