Associated Press Corrects Big Falsehood In Four Trump-Russia Reports

For months the Trump hating lynch mob has breathlessly reported that all 17 intelligence agencies concluded the Russians are responsible for "hacking" our election as if each agency had independently investigated to reach that conclusion. Disputing the conclusion of all 17 agencies must betray a blind loyalty to Trump.

Oh wait, the AP and the NYT, models of impartial and rigorous journalistic practice have issued a "clarification".

The Associated Press reported that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump,” the AP stated, citing four specific reports from as early as April that made the assertion. “That assessment was based on information collected by three agencies – the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency – and published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all U.S. intelligence agencies.”

“Not all 17 intelligence agencies were involved in reaching the assessment,” the statement concludes.

Of course the claim of all 17 agencies has been debunked for months but that doesn’t stop Trump haters from repeating it as gospel.

So are you saying the FBI, the CIA and the NSA are wrong? Or are you simply concerned a news story was worded to make President Trump look slightly worse. If possible. And Nevermind, that was a rhetorical question, I already know the answer.

The FBI/CIA/NSA did the heavy lifting and collected/analyzed the intelligence. No intelligence agency in the 17 member US intelligence community disagreed with the assessment and conclusions presented in the classified report.

No disagreement/objections = consensus. That's how it works and has always worked.

Surly, FBI, CIA, and NSA total 3, not 17. That's not a was worded. That's an outright lie.

The real mystery is why so many LWNM and politicians knowingly spout these easily debunked lies, only to issue a retraction a week later.

That's revisionist thinking. AP knowingly lied. Hence the "correction".

BY YOUR OWN ADMISSION, a couple of agencies came to conclusions and the rest of the agencies, with no evidence they even lifted a finger, simply said "Looks good to me!"...

But the lying media (and lyin' Hillary Clinton) reported it as ALL 17 agencies conducted investigations themselves, and ALL 17 came to the same conclusions...

The consensus of 17 intelligence agencies narrative always seemed silly. The "not trusting the intelligence community" arguments were also weak. The exaggerated number 17 is counter productive.

What exactly is your interest?

BTW, what fragile/ego image? The President takes on all challengers full face. Publically. Directly. Succinctly.
