Post Joe Biden, Enjoying the Campaign Trail

AKRON, Ohio -- As he might put, Sen. Joe Biden is literally enjoying running for vice president, and he's not just saying that as an applause line.

While Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. John McCain are avoiding interviews with the press corps that follows them and Biden's running mate Sen. Barack Obama projects such an aura of cool liberal columnists are begging him to get more animated, the Delaware senator is at times gleefully expansive.

"My staff says we have time for one more question, so let's take three more," he declared at a recent rally.

He stays behind at each event to shake hands and takes pictures with anyone who wants, and he's brought his personal touch on the road -- close-talking, back-tapping and kissing older women on the cheek.

He occasionally tosses a football on the tarmac before he takes off to his next city. His speeches include loads of references to his days playing high school football, quotes from his mother and father and his favorite terms: "literally" (usually when he means "figuratively"), "ladies and gentlemen" and "I mean this sincerely."
I am sick of this media bias!
Since Palin and McCain obviously hide from the press corps, then Obama and Biden should not be interviewed or covered either!

Otherwise, it's just media bias!!!

Obama Meets With Israeli and Palestinian Leaders

Quote:
On his second visit to Israel, he sought to reassure voters of his capacity to serve on the international stage. The audience for the trip, despite a private series of dawn-to-dusk meetings, clearly was the American electorate as much as the foreign leaders.

Mr. Obama met with Mr. Abbas and the prime minister of the Palestinian Authority, Salam Fayyad, for one hour — 15 minutes longer than scheduled — at the Muqata, the Palestinian president’s compound. Mr. Obama and Mr. Abbas sat down with a Palestinian flag between them and photographs of the late Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat and of Mr. Abbas himself on the wall behind them.

Saeb Erekat, a senior aide to Mr. Abbas and a senior Palestinian negotiator, said in an interview after the meeting that Mr. Obama seemed to be committed to helping both sides achieve a peace accord and was supportive of pursuing a two-state solution.

My impression is that he is focused,” Mr. Erekat said. “He believes it is in the American national interest and that time is of the essence. He said he won’t waste any time, and that he’ll be a constructive partner.”
No press corps animosity...

Even when you find out that discussions had to be told to the press...NOT by Obama....NOT by an Obama spokesperson...NOT by anyone associated with the campaign...

But a senior aide to the head of the terrorist organization Fatah...

The press just said "Obama holds these private meetings where we can't find out what was discussed by the candidate, but that's OK...As long as we do his bidding and simply say "He met with leaders and discussed things I'm VERY sure are more important than anything in the history of the world", that'll be fine...

But what's that?....The McCain campaign won't let us talk to them after we spread stories of Palin's daughter not really being hers and she's really a secessionist?...

I'm verklempt!...The gall!!...

Hhmm... That mention of Arafat's picture reminds me if we had just voted in Al Gore, 9-11 might never have happened.
I still believe Bush's snub of Arafat (a meeting that was set up within the peace effort of the Clinton administration), had as much if not more to do with events in 2001, than Saddam Hussein.

Until you find that 9-11 was planned 2 years before it actually happened....Long before Bush was president...

But these are facts...please don't let them interfere...

Doesn't it look fishy to you that Bush wouldn't have that second US meeting w/ Fat and then during the 911 aftermath they drove Fat to the MATtresses?
Fishy fishy stinky woo.

Unbelievable! When you're not playing superheroine saltwn, are you actually Michael Moore or Oliver Stone in real life?

Nah, even they can't come up with the priceless bullshit you just typed...

Didn't you think the whole thing was a coincidence that the old war monger in Israel would get to live his favorite fantasy? C'mon. There was a lot of stuff that went on while we were all considering it a "part of the big picture".
In fact all the big countries were using the word "terrorism" to label their favorite nemesis. Both countries who were our allies and not.
But getting back to the last point. Arafat and Palestine were key to peace in that region of the country. The first meeting was the first time a leader of Palestine was invited here in modern times (maybe ever?), that gave legitimacy to his (Arafat's) slipping control over the marginal rebels. Bush dropped the ball here. Clear and simple. And why our President sat on the sidelines and let the Israeli leader drive him into a corner like a dog- for the sake of a 3 thousand year old argument-is beyond my super hero comprehension.
