Post Sarah Palin and Republican Hypocrisy

I wish that for one week, the Republican punditry and even the Republican machinery would QUIT with the hypocrisy and adopt a real concern for their own flip-floppery.

Make sure to check out the end of the clip, where Palin herself is quoted.
Maybe Republicans can take her words to heart?

Or can I count on the usual "situational ethics"...
The usual "relative morality" whereby when it's the "other group" that does something, you act one way...
But when it's in the Republican back-yard, the punditry and the "talking points" change their tunes...

Accurate... Sadly and honestly accurate.

Some of the stuff was taken out of context, but overall it was pretty good...

Unfortunately, that stuff would hit home more if Stewart would just stop with the 4-year old humor...(A guy with a head that looks like a lump of unbaked bread dough???...Everytime that pops up I lose a testicle???)...he has some good hypocrisy going and then just ruins it for a cheap laugh and extra salt...

I was a faithful viewer of The Daily Show until a few years back when it turned into a 30-minute ad for the DNC and wasn't about fun anymore...

"out of context"???

That's the battle-cry of the "I don't have an excuse, but I'll put some innuendo out there to try to diffuse the issue anyways..."

Good point.
At times it's like "who wrote that?" or "did they lose some of their better writers?"

He covered the democratic convention as well, and he put some shots across the bow of the democrats as well. He covers the left lunacy as well.
Quite frankly, you reference "a few years back", but think about the social climate at that time. 2006 had the country vote in a change for a democrat congress.
While I think he has some left leanings, I think the SHOW itself is more reflective of the mood of the country.

Unfortunately...there may be just enough pinheads in November who refuse to see and prefer to dismiss blatant Republican hypocrisy.

I firmly believe that in this video, Rove, O'Reilly, and Morris were all hypocrits...

Therefore I will not vote for them....

Of course, they're PUNDITS that were hypocritical in their spin and not actual candidates who are hypocritical on issues...you know...Like campaign finance or whether or not the surge worked...

If someone doesn't vote for a candidate becuse they have a problem with a pundit, it's legal...but I do question their sanity...

Funny, he called you a pinhead, and you called him a loon, but you left yourself enough wiggle room to say it wasn't directed. You two should be in politics,

It's not just "not voting" for the pundits.
Republicans raise these things as viable issues time and time again, until it's time to face the situation on one of their own.

If one of Obama's daughters had been pregnant out of wedlock, do you think it would be a "non-issue"?
Or would somebody raise it as a discussion point on how Obama couldn't take care of his own household...

Another thing that amuses me is how McCain talks about taking on "corruption" in Washington...
Yet what has he ACTUALLY done to help address the issues within his own party???
Oh wait. HERE it is...
McCain Suggests He Won't Investigate Bush Corruption

It's not just the "pundits" who have this problem.
Take George Bush and MANY of the ELECTED Republican politician double-standards regarding their criticism of Clinton & Kosovo, and trying to deflect Bush's war criticism.

And if done, would you find equally reprehensible or would it be OK JUST now because someone has an "R" behind their name?...

I wouldn't investigate it either when the call for it has nothing to do with actual evidence and is only being pushed for bipartisan hatred...

Is that the way you want Washington to work?...Just start investigating everybody and everything based on what somebody yells?...

yes yes yes...

Because "War A" is ALWAYS the exact same thing as "War B" which is ALWAYS the exact same thing as "War C" etc...
