I don't think anybody's surprised you idolize him...

You like his anger.
And that's REALLY disturbing...

Update On MSNBC Convention team

Quote:
DENVER — Amid a spate of awkward on-air conflicts among MNSBC anchors at this week’s Democratic convention, some staff members say there are sharp internal disputes at the cable network over whether its opinion and personality-driven political coverage has crossed the line.

“The situation at our channel is about to blow up,” a high-ranking MSNBC journalist told Politico on Wednesday.

Two other MSNBC sources said some of the testy on-air exchanges between Keith Olbermann — whose quick-witted and often caustic commentary has fueled ratings growth — and other network personalities were a public glimpse of much more intense behind-the-scenes turmoil.

As replays of the conflicts became YouTube hits, MSNBC President Phil Griffin gave his first public defense in a Politico interview.

“MSNBC does not have an ideology,” Griffin said. “We hire smart people who are passionate about their love of politics and love of news.”

“Do I want them to have squabbles?” Griffin asked. “No. But I understand they’re human.”

In addition to Olbermann, MSNBC personalities Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough and David Shuster were involved in Denver controversies.

On Monday evening, Olbermann interrupted Scarborough while he was talking about McCain being competitive in the polls. “Jesus, Joe, why don’t you get a shovel?” Olbermann remarked.

On “Morning Joe” the following day, a clearly agitated Scarborough went off on Shuster during a discussion of Iraq, which quickly devolved over several cringe-worthy minutes into personal attacks, such as Scarborough telling the world how his colleague missed the show three times by oversleeping. "Are you Rip Van Shuster?” Scarborough asked. “Have you been sleeping for the past couple of months?”

But Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida, became enraged when Shuster made a reference to “your party.” Asked by Scarborough what his party was, Shuster said he was an “independent.”

"I feel so comforted by the fact that you're an independent,” Scarborough said, in a mocking tone. “I bet everybody at MSNBC has independent on their voting cards. Oh, we're down the middle now.” (Shuster left the set, but returned later to hug it out, "Entourage"-style.)

That night, Scarborough told NPR that he “get[s] frustrated by people who have an obvious partisan bias that don't proclaim that bias.”

This sentence (the second one in the article) is a direct contradiction to the headline...

The editors could've just as easily wrote "MSNBC situation "about to blow up"", but that wouldn't jive with their quotes from the head of MSNBC...

BTW - LOVE this line...

“MSNBC does not have an ideology,” Griffin said.
It should've been followed with "Yeah!...that's the ticket!"...

I think I am liking it. I'll tell you why. We always hear people saying blank is a lefty or righty. How about we know their bias right up front without assuming. Fox is right.(But won't admit it) MSNBC is left. And CNN is just self promoting.

I still prefer C-SPAN for convention coverage and here's why. I get a healthy dose of bias from the left and right on a daily basis. It's refreshing to watch convention coverage without the spin. It's like taking a vacation from all the bullshit.MSNBC is left, far more left than CNN.I don't think that was true a couple of years ago but I agree..CNN is self promoting! I almost never watch Fox unless it's to compare spin with MSNBC knowing that the truth is "somewhere" in the middle.

I agree to this point. My wife was tearing up watching the delegate count. After all we are proud Americans. But when I switched to MSNBC they were asking a republican what he thought of Obama. And he started down the old partisan crap. We went back to C-span. I am really fed up with the attacks. I would like to watch people with a positive attitude having a great time being Americans.
The right are already attacking Obamas speech. Its ridiculous. He hasn't given one but they are whining about the venue. They are truly going to keep perpetuating this stuff the rest of our lives if we don't take this chance to change. Again, Like the soldier that nominated Obama said. "If you do what you always did you get what you always got" I believe that 100%. If we vote McCain we will continue to destroy our country from within. Lincoln talked specifically about this. Once in a while we have to turn our backs on those who will not reconcile.

The difference between FNC and MSNBC is the same as the difference between conservatives and liberals.

Liberals just give in to whatever makes them feel good. Conservatives try to live up to an ideal.

MSNBC makes no bones about their bias. It is much easier to simply do as one wishes without regard to anything else.

Fox tries to perform up to the difficult to achieve standard of fair and balanced news coverage.

There WAS a time in America when ALL broadcast network news organizations subscribed to this journalistic standard.

No I think the difference is they both are biased. Msnbc has decided to let their biased out in the open. Scarborough is righty along with Tucker and a couple others. Olbermann is a lefty. Matthews is stuck in the B&W 60's views of the world. Its left leaning. But he can be persuaded to support rightys. Fox is self esiving and pretending to be something they are not. The difference is honesty. One is dishonest about their bias. The other has embraced it.
But I will give you that times have changed a bunch. But I will say that even in the hey day of network news. People still bitched about bias.

Here's proof that some parties interested in promoting Republicans are taking these "journalists" or "pundits" (ala Brush Lintball),
giving them a snort and pushing them out on stage to discuss talking points with real news makers and commentators. I give Chris Matthews credit for keeping calm in the face of this idiot attack dog:

Silly liberals just can't get it right.............Four YEARS ago when they started calling for a timetable it was proper to mock the stupidity. Now 4 years later when it is finally the correct time to begin a loose timetable they want to say "na, na, na we told you and now you're flip flopping". And they still won't admit that the surge and GW did work. I think we have done quite well in rebuilding in just 5 SHORT years and the Iraqi congress has passed many more solutions than our congress has. Less than 5,000 American deaths (several hundred that were just regular "accidents") when I recall the liberals whining "50,000 body bags won't be enough for the invasion"
