Jon Stewart rips Obama for aggressive investigation of whistle-blowers
instead of bankers
Quote:
On his show Thursday night, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart blasted the Obama administration for aggressively investigating whistle-blowers who talked to the press. He noted that while federal prosecutors had come down hard on hackers and “potheads,” the Obama administration tip-toed around potentially criminal bankers who caused the financial collapse.

I think it's high time we take advantage of this "corporations are people" mentality and throw a few of them in jail instead of just fining them...

I actually hope this happens, because you'll see the known-to-Conservatives-but-not-known-to-Liberals repercussions of this...Then you'd see a 180...

You can bet the OA would use the same standard as the IRS used for selective investigation and prosecution. GE capital and GM's financial operations will be untouched but the enemies of the public interest having failed to support Obama will be targeted.

The problem is, if they go after the bankers, then they would also have to go after the politicians who manipulated the law and forced the bankers to make sub optimal decisions in order to comply with the politician's agendas.

Absolutely. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd should be the first two in prison.
