I heard what I heard, nothing to do with politics. and I wasn't even coached through subtitles. Mebbe just hearing it wrong, but when they do start chanting, the phonetics I hear make it sound like a two syllable word that begins with "rye" and ends with "an". Could be wrong, but that's what I hear. I Just don't hear a chorus of "rahm" followed by the "nee". Guess I have to keep listening.

I guess some people didn't click the link so I'll describe what's in there.

The guy writing the post said he peeled the sound apart from the original MSNBC tape, and the sound had been cleaned up. He claims this is not unusual. He claims that although the majority of the crowd is chanting Romney, there is the odd Ryan, and you can hear it on the finished MSNBC tape.

That's possible, I guess. You can kind of hear something on the MSNBC tape that sounds like that, even when you turn away from the screen and do not read the subtitles MSNBC added.

However if you are not lazy, and hang around in the tape posted in the OP, you can clearly hear "Romney, Romney" in the CSpan tape they listen to at the end, to double-check. Also witnesses at the event, including the local TV station and the New York Times heard Romney, not Ryan.

So is Wally a hater? I'll be generous and call him a lazy listener, and a jump-the-gunner.

I did listen to the clip from MSNBC and C-SPAN, I still heard "Ryan!" in both, but I think I heard an odd but clear "Romney!" in there too after further listening. Maybe where they were recording had something to do with how many "Romney!"s and "Ryan"s could be picked up. Maybe on the other side of the crowd they were chant more for Romney, I don't know lol.

I've listened to both the MSNBC version and the unedited version without sub-titles and I hear Ryan, Ryan, Ryan.... with maybe a few Romney's tossed in. What I took away from the video after countless times listening is the fact that when Willard stops them to add get them to chant Romney/Ryan... the Crowd goes silent and the chanting stops. That had to be embarrassing for Willard.

I'm a romney hater and I hear romney. Not to mention ryan's humble gesture when romney tells the crowd to include ryan pretty much says it all. He wouldn't have done that if romney wasn't telling them to chant ryan WITH his name because they were a team. His humble, "you don't have to do that" expression wouldn't make any sense otherwise. So listening to the cspan version - on TV AND watching ryan's reaction really makes it pretty damn clear what happened. Then add to that the people who were actually ****ing there who say they were saying romney en masse with a few ryans in there.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that after Romney said about Ryan "Hey, how about that Paul Ryan?" or something to that effect, that the crowd would respond to Romney's question with an affirmation that they love Ryan by chanting Ryan, Ryan?

Seems perfectly normal and sensible to hear what many hear...even on cspan's version.

Chanting Ryan's name in no way suggests to me that they don't like the team of Romney/Ryan and at some other point in the campaign stop, the crowd would be chanting Romney, Romney or Romney/Ryan.



I heard the speech on cspan and after Romney asked the crowd if they liked Ryan, they responded as they should/would have...with Ryan, Ryan. I didn't see the msnbc version til later in the day.



Now, this is just my own humble opinion...please refrain from saying I pray at the alter of Obama or want to "have some kind of oral sex with him" or that my hearing is altered by all of those orgies that librul hippie commie types have with each other...or any other personal insults you people sling at someone that disagrees with you.

I see Joe Scarborough just went on a rant. He was talking about how stupid people are that think he doctored this tape. He says he is voting for Romney so why would he be involved in doctored tapes that shows Romney in a bad light? He was calling people who buy into crap like this idiots.
