I will ask a third time. What does Romney have to with these comments by Matthews?

I think Steele should've thrown an even bigger insult back by saying "And the Democrat Party is the party of Chris Matthews"...
That's a good one, but I think Republicans have to start using those KKK digs as an opportunity to educate.

They should just say something like "Love the way the Democrats create the KKK, and back it for 200 years, then 50 years after it becomes politically expedient to get sane, and reject them, they blame Republicans for them. Two words Robert Byrd."

We agree Steele handled it wrong though.

You've got a really inflated perception of that one.

Governor Wallace comes to mind a lot quicker than Byrd. Byrd's pretty bad but Wallace was a real villain.

Come on guys.
He was CLEARLY referencing Harry Potter, and we all know that Romney would be Dumbledore and Karl Rove is Voldemort.
Obama? Harry Potter of course!

I have reached a stage where I can’t take Matthews seriously, so I can’t help but laugh at him.
Quote:
"Oh my gosh," Steele could be heard saying.
And that’s a classic response to Matthews.
It’s like Steele is playing the “straight man” to Matthews “village idiot” in a comedy routine (that I believe Matthews is taking seriously).
