This is not 'unprecedented'. Trump electors are not special snowflakes. They don't get to have safe spaces where they can hide from the people expressing their constitutional rights.
Perhaps a few corrections/clarifications might be in order.

First, there is no right, implicit or otherwise to petition government. The right is to petition the government. You can, of course petition your elected representative. But in no way does that suggest a right to private addresses or phone numbers.

Second. Wrong. The electors are chosen by the party, not the voter. It is very arguable whether we as voters are actually voting for the individual electors or the parties choices. Either way, there still is no right to the private phone numbers sand addresses. The list referred to is the list of electors. A metter of public record. Addresses and phone numbers not so much.

Respectfully, sir, Trump at the time was not a government official acting in a official capacity. Even today he is not.

Bad taste? Probably. Bad government? No

This is a direct quote from the link you just posted:

"When you vote for president, you’re actually voting for that candidate’s slate of electors."

This quote is literally two sentences above the quote you took and deliberately tried to post out of context.

BTW, RS, there is nothing enshrined, indirectly, in the Constitution. It is either there or it isn't.

"Murren said the information in question is deemed a matter of public record under the state's election code. She said the department did not provide email addresses for any electors — though email addresses for some of the electors can be found in the department's candidate database because they previously sought political office. For example, Khare's email address can be found in the database because he listed it when he ran for Republican State Committee in 2014 and to be a delegate to the Republican National Convention this year. "

Not wrong. This is in the original article:

"When voters voted for Trump, they were actually voting for his slate of electors,"

This is in the second article posted as a source:

"When you vote for president, you’re actually voting for that candidate’s slate of electors."

These people signed up to be electors for Donald Trump, probably the most controversial candidate in US history except for maybe Lincoln? Im sure the electors would rather be anonymous, I mean it must be a scary thing to be responsible for having to vote for a narcissistic fascist and have everyone from here on out for the rest of your life know that you did. But these people can cry me a river. Time for Republicans to finally have some personal accountable for their actions and stop blaming 'the left'.

From Pennsylvanians Constitution

"The citizens have a right in a peaceable manner to assemble together for their common good, and to apply to those invested with the powers of government for redress of grievances or other proper purposes, by petition, address or remonstrance."

The Constitution of Pennsylvania - PA General Assembly

So, did the state representative release contact info or not?

The above says the list of EC reps. That's public information. Posting it on the website? I don't know.

The article says she released contact information. That's a different slice of the pie.

"Republican Party officials say they believe the Pennsylvania Department of State willfully disregarded open records protections when it released the contact information of President-elect Donald Trump's electors, opening them up to harassment."

Names, yes. Contact information? Probably not.

I get that. But it's not the issue. The question is" by petition, address or remonstrance." I get that. Nowhere does it mention private phone numbers or addresses.

The vote for the public, as stated, is "Do you want Trump's electors, or do you want Clinton's electors (or Stein's electors, or Johnson's electors)."...

...The vote for the public is NOT "Do you want Trump's electors, consisting of Mike Smith, who lives at 305 Main Street in Glenolden, PA 19045 and has a phone number of (610) 555-6834, and Mary Jones, who lives at..."...

Also, I'd like to point out that the electors are NOT publicly known (even their names) until AFTER the election, so there isn't a SINGLE public voter voting for an elector knowing who that elector actually is...

You're being obtuse (and, most likely, intentionally)...

Give it up. You lost. Take your defeat like a man and slink away instead of doubling down on terminally retarded.

You said electors are elected. You were shown they are not and instead hand-picked by the campaigns. Being hand-picked is not being elected.

Thanks for playing.
