Ceiling collapses at SouthPark Mall after heavy rainfall

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Heavy rain from this afternoon's storms collapsed a ceiling at the SouthPark Mall.
Emergency crews are on the scene and have evacuated the mall. There are no reported injuries, according to Medic.
Images from inside the mall shows a couple inches of water on the floor. There are also reported vehicles that are flooded at the SouthPark Mall parking lot.
Emergecny officials are assessing the damage of the flooding. AirStar 36 flew over the mall and two holes can be seen in the roof.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 8 p.m. for Mecklenburg County. The First Warn Storm Team said more than two inches of rain fell in less than an hour in parts of south Charlotte.
