That may very well be the case. I am not arguing that point one way or the other. Again, all that I am saying is to allow both sides to present their evidence and let the chips fall where they may.

What I DON'T want to see happen, is what the MSM has been doing in this case since it happened and that is to convict the officer in the court of public opinion before ALL of the facts are known.

Unless the defense can actually prove that putting your knee on one of someone's carotid artery for almost nine minutes even on someone who is having complications from a drug overdose isn't fatal then I think the video shows what happened. Because even if Floyd was having a drug overdose and having breathing problems associated with that drug overdose it doesn't negate the officer putting his knee of Floyd's carotid artery for almost nine minutes. Because as far as I know if you stabbed someone to death you defense attorney isn't going to be able to say "well you honor my client did stab the victim, but if the victim had a heart condition or was overdosing so my client is innocent". That would never fly in a million years in a court room.

And I am not claiming otherwise. My point was directed at everyone claiming that the knee on the neck was preventing Floyd from being able to breath. All I said was that he was having trouble breathing before he was pinned to the ground.

As for the rest, I am not arguing that the knee to the neck did or didn't cause his death. All I am saying is let's wait until all of the evidence is presented before declaring anyone innocent or guilty. Is that too much to ask?

If Floyd was having breathing problems as a result of overdosing how does that help Chauvin's defense?

Once again, you are missing my point. Many are saying that the officer choked Floyd to death and as evidence point to Floyd claiming that he could not breath. I was merely pointing out that he was voicing that complaint long before he was pinned to the ground. I never said that it would help or hurt the officers defense, just merely pointing out the fallacy of the argument.

I have c o p d. so it's hard for me to breath most of the time. but if I was choked till I quit breathing I would be the victim of a homicide.
saw part of defense and they are pulling everything out of the hat they can. I would want this team if accused of a crime.
but once again the prosecutors are allowing no holes to be poked in their case. its pretty tight. The reason is the clear language from each witness. and even a defense witness today conceded he was wrong about two things. Also the case the prosecution is laying out is believable to the average person. no stretching the imagination and the few technical things are explained well.
so we'll see, but unless there is some sort of bomb shell, the accused is going to be justifiably found guilty of one of the charges.
I hate it for his family just as I hate that newest officer might go to jail but this is our system.

IF the officer' continued to make Floyd not breath by his actions then he is still guilty.Just like you would be guilty if you saw a drowning man and pulled him further out into the water or pushed his head under the water.

BTW Is the prosecution arguing that Floyd was air choked or blood choked to death by the officer?

The placement of the knee on the neck did NOT obstruct Floyd's airway, period. That is all that I was saying. Nothing more, nothing less.

I really don't know as I have not been following the trial. The only things that I know are the details that are reported on the news as I listen to the radio during the day while working. I really don't have much interest in it other than to know what the jury decides.

True. The purpose of a carotid artery choke is to cuts off the blood supply to the brain. I don't think a normal healthy person would have survived a knee on their carotid artery for almost nine minutes much less someone having breathing difficulties due to a drug overdose or complications.

And my guess is that you are most likely correct. But that is not to say that the defense will find and "expert" that will testify that other factors contributed, if not caused, Floyd's death. That does not mean that I agree with them; I am simply pointing it out.
