a bank robber had facial tattoos. So police digitally altered a suspectís mugshot

2019
Witnesses didn’t say a bank robber had facial tattoos. So police digitally altered a suspect’s mugshot.

"It would be hard to miss Tyrone Lamont Allen’s facial tattoos.
The 50-year-old’s forehead is covered in delicate script, reaching from his eyebrows to his hairline. A single teardrop appears under his left eye, while his right cheek is unmistakably inked with a looping design.
So when authorities got a tip that Allen was behind a string of bank and credit union robberies in Portland, Ore., in April 2017, there was one major problem: None of the tellers had mentioned seeing any tattoos on the robber’s face. Surveillance footage, too, showed a man with no visible tattoos.
Yet, Allen was charged with the crime — after police took an unusual step. As the Oregonian first reported Friday, investigators used Photoshop to digitally alter his mug shot, covering up his distinctive tattoos. Two of the tellers, who weren’t told that the image had been edited, subsequently picked him out of a photo array of five similar-looking men and identified him as the robber."
But there's nothing wrong with policing and the justice system just a few "Bad Apples"?
How many "bad apple's" had to know about this at the station? At the prosecutors office?
But hey, Maybe the cops lives were in danger so they HAD TO Fake the Mug shot to get the wrong man convicted? right?

WTF......??

Crooked cops, and crooked DA's all need to be thrown in jail....

Lying on reports and planting evidence needs to be dealt with harshly.....

This is exactly why qualified immunity needs to be abolished for cops and they also need to require new police officers to carry personal million dollar insurance policies to protect the city from having to pay out millions for dumb ass cops that the unions will not fire....

Seriously, bank and credit union robberies without video surveillance evidence?
You know, evidence that would actually show whether or not the criminal had tattoos.
Cameras are everywhere in a bank.
Maybe eye witnesses were to effing panicked from having a gun pointed at them and looking at the gun instead of the guy's face.
That being said, the cameras have the record of whether or not the perpetrator had those tattoos or not.

I'm up in the air...

There is a scene in the movie "In the Line of Fire" where Secret Service is watching people enter the dining hall while flipping through multiple pictures of a suspect (played by John Malkovich) in different disguises.

Here is what a person of interest might look like with a certain wig.
Here is what a person of interest might look like with (or without) a beard.
Here is what a person of interest might look like with makeup covering tattoos.

What I DEARLY hope is that this isn't the only evidence. That guy shouldn't have been arrested simply based on the positive ID of a couple of bank employees. The idea of playing dressup to look like someone else...only to have that someone else arrested...is horrible...:yes :crazy

The Local news had these pictures on Twitter of the real bank robber.

the cops had ZERO reason to suspect the other guy.
AND acted criminally in trying to make it look like he did.

In the Bible there's a an old testament law that says if Someone accuses someone else falsely and are caught doing it.
That the False accuser gets the punishment that would have fallen on the person the accuser intended it for.

That's one that needs to be brought back.

Thanks.
But why is the hat in the first picture different than the hat in the other two pictures? And color of the sweatshirt?

I've seen that play out many times watching murder mystery stuff on cable for years.....

Once cops zero in on one suspect, they try to get the case cleared harder than they do trying to find the real perp in the crime....

I wash they would finish that saying of a few bad apples, because then they would know it spoils the bunch.

Sadly, the so called good cops never rat out the bad ones.....

The unions are a huge reason why, that and peer pressure to do the same....

A pack mentality of us vs. the public....

Professional sovereign citizens with their own gang blue line flag....
