The juiciest morsel in Mueller’s charges against Roger Stone

The juiciest morsel in Mueller’s charges against Roger Stone

Quote:

In one paragraph, Mueller alleges that an unnamed individual gave instructions to a senior unnamed Trump campaign official to get in touch with Stone “about any additional releases and what other damaging information” WikiLeaks was holding about Clinton’s campaign.
Quote:

After getting those orders, Stone allegedly told the Trump campaign “about potential future releases of damaging material” that WikiLeaks was holding.

Quote:

The revelation, if true, also suggests that Mueller is potentially sitting on more evidence that could firm up a case of collusion against at least some individuals in Trump’s orbit, or even the president himself.
Quote:

...language in the paragraph “particularly alarming” because it used the passive voice when describing the campaign officials...
...“This language is very different from other language we have seen Mueller use,” ...“He usually is careful to use some identifying language so that the person can be referenced easily. One reasonable inference is that the person who directed the senior campaign official is someone who cannot be indicted: the president himself.”

Liberals two favorite words...IF TRUE...:yawn

That says "I have no clue what's going on, so I'll just speculate to the worst case scenario, because that's what I want to hear."...:shrug

This is a criminal investigation and prosecutors in a criminal investigation have evidence to support possible witness testimony. If the indictment claims that directions came from the Trump campaign to Roger Stone then you can bet the farm that this is in the form of written directions or messages that exist.

IS TRUE is different from IF TRUE and the Mueller prosecutors are some of the best from the FBI and DOJ. They're not going to imply or say anything that they don't have solid factual evidence to support.

The FBI may not publicly imply or say anything that they don't have solid factual evidence to support. but they sure leak like a sieve, and the 'msm' makes wild-asses suppositions with their hyperbole headlines, with full coloration, hearsay guesses and stabs in the dark.

This would be 'smoking gun' number 16 or 17, I believe. I withhold judgement until there is a scintilla of proof. It's likely going to be a long wait.

It is public knowledge that Hillary was behind the fake dossier designed to bring down Trump, so why didn't a group of armed thugs surround her home and arrest her? This double standard proves the blatant corruption in the FBI and the protected criminal class in our government, so when will something be done about that? :mad

Let’s pretend for a second that the first part of this question is accurate (it’s not), what crime was committed in compiling that information?

I don't believe the compilation of false information is the problem... it's the use of it that is the problem....

Well, since Hillary didn’t use it, I’ll ask again, what crime did she commit?

First, I don't know how you can say its not true...It's actually old news...:yes

The Clinton Campaign paid a law firm to use as a middleman, who paid Fusion GPS, who contracted Steele for the dossier...:yes

Clinton Campaign, DNC Helped Fund Research That Became Notorious Trump 'Dossier'

Quote:

A law firm representing the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund opposition research that eventually became a controversial dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump, a source confirmed to NBC News Tuesday.

The Washington Post, which first reported the funding of the research earlier Tuesday, said it shows the Clinton campaign and the DNC helped pay for what would become the dossier that contained unverified and salacious allegations about Trump.

"To aid in its representation of the Clinton presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee, [the law firm] Perkins Coie retained [intelligence firm] Fusion GPS, entering into an engagement for research services that began in April 2016 and concluded before the election in early November," a source familiar with the situation told NBC News.
But as to the second part if your question, ("what crime was committed in compiling that information?")...

The problem here is the lack of consistency within the Mueller investigation...

If people within the Trump campaign are guilty of colluding with foreign agents to get dirt on his political opponent (Hillary), then people within the Hillary Campaign (and the Democrat National Party) are EQUALLY guilty of colluding with foreign agents to get dirt on HER political opponent (Trump)...

OR...

If people within the Hillary campaign (and the Democrat National Party) are NOT guilty, even though they colluded with foreign agents to get dirt on her political opponent (Trump), then people within the Trump Campaign are EQUALLY NOT guilty, even though they colluded with foreign agents to get dirt on his political opponent (Hillary)...

It is simply UNEQUAL application of the law to say both sides did the same thing, yet only one of them is accountable while the other gets a free pass...:no :mad
