Default Road Rage and death

America is at a cross roads because of our failing infrastructure it would appear to this poster that is a major part of the problem of road violence.. Bad roads/highways make for slower moving traffic in congested areas.
Plus just being a congested area sucks swamp water.

The possible other reasons might include far to many children over time have been raised by far to young persons plus many children come from families which have lost control over their child behavior. For sure many of these people make bad choices in life.

Less than 10 years ago we gave the President nearly a trillion dollars to repair the crumbling infrastructure. We needed the repairs quickly and we needed the jobs. Yet here we are 10 years later needing a trillion + for infrastructure repairs and many of the pot holes extant are over 10 years old. The first trillion has disappeared. I'm sceptical about doing the same thing over and expecting different results.

I don't believe, however, that potholes are a major factor in road rage incidents, nor am I sure they are on the rise or just better reported.

Like guns, pot holes are inanimate objects. I think your second point is more valid.

Our society has become one where avoiding responsibility is more than an art Form,,, it seems to be a basic right. So let's blame the potholes for road rage and the guns for any road rage deaths that occur.

But not the self centered narcissists people who actually commit the crimes.

Yet it isn't just potholes with our roads/highways as there are plenty of damage to both.

I didn't mention eI]ther[/I]of the much needed improvements to our Elictric Grid so they can with stand a Hack attack or every town/city water supply and water treatment..

Dang auto type.....

He has been in office for a little over a year, the entire time fighting the same said swamp critters that, in the last 8 to 10 years, created the social angst, and you would expect a massive change in the nation's mood? Really?

Citizen Trump has been President Trump for a year. The last President spent a term trying to find shovels. We might want to cut the current President a little slack.

Any President has a couple problems. A President can do nothing without funds. The House controls funds. Then there is the matter of jurisdiction. Road repair is mostly a state or local issue. How even federal funds are spent is local.

There is another problem here now but certain to loom far larger in the future. Roads today are mostly user funded. Gasoline taxes are the primary revenue source. Alternative energy vehicles pay no road taxes and mileage figures are going way up. So where the '60's car paid for 30 miles with 3 gallons of gas, a new smaller car gets by with 3/4 gallon or none. Environmentalists love it this way since it shifts the burden away from their pet solutions onto their pet bitches.

The grid is another matter. While we think of it as a national issue, it's largely privately owned.

Virginia just yesterday attempted to address this issue. Utilities can now retain over collected funds rather than return them to the customer but they must be used on infrastructure improvements.

Another non sequetor?

Honestly Mlurp, I find it is sometimes hard to be kind to your argument's logic and be honest at the same time.

Road rage--blame everything on anything and anybody except for yourself if you escalate an incident.
