Plus just being a congested area sucks swamp water.

The possible other reasons might include far to many children over time have been raised by far to young persons plus many children come from families which have lost control over their child behavior. For sure many of these people make bad choices in life.

Man you bright men sure don't see the reality on this. I do believe I covered much of the cause for our society of malcontents.

Has any of you even watched this video,

I don't believe I ever said our infrastructure was excellent. Nor would I claim it doesn't need massive attention. At the risk of being accused a "Tumpster" I support his massive infrastructure plans, even though I worry they are fiscally dangerous.

But I disagree completely that pot holes are the cause of road rage. When was the last time anybody hit a pothole and declared, "That's it, I'm gonna run the SOB in front of me off the road!!!!"

There are compelling reasons to fix our roads and bridges. Safety is one. Prosperity and commerce is another. We don't need something as vacuous as "road rage" for justification of the effort and expense.

Road Rage is clearly a bridge too far.

And with that I leave the equine carcass for you to beat, alone. Enjoy!

As others have stated, it is highly unlikely for Road Rage to be caused by the physical conditions of the road.

As a society, people once again have become so self absorbed that they don't consider the impact of their actions on those around them, mixed with the 'high stress' of most people's lives (real or imagined), and you end up with a dangerous mix of highly volatile people on the road.

I've been guilty of 'road rage' myself, but the last thing I would consider is an actual physical altercation. I usually give them the New Jersey one finger salute, a few choices words in the confines of my car, and move on.

You get people who use the left lane for toodling along, when other people are trying to get somewhere. Tailgaters who get so close, you can't see their headlights, when you are stuck behind someone else. Seriously, I can't go any faster then the guy in front of me, now can I?

Truckers who do the tip to tail thing in two out of three traffic lanes, forcing you to either drag along behind them for miles, or be sandwiched in the left lane behind someone who doesn't understand that 'passing' actually means passing the vehicle next to you, not riding along at the same speed, jamming up everyone behind you.

I could keep going with examples, but the general gist is: If you aren't moving faster then the lane to your right, move over!!!

AMEN! That is one of my pet peeves. I wish I understood what they are thinking. I've seen many of them playing on their phone while holding up traffic in the left lane. That makes me very angry, but as you said, I just keep it to myself and deal with it.

Hopeful thought
