In a way, it is sad that a teachers recourse has to be involving the police.

I recall a situation when I was in Jr. High (much older than the 7 year old in this situation). A male student tried to slap a female teacher. She blocked the slap, grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back (like a police officer does to a criminal), then drove him face first onto the floor and ended up on top of him with her knee on his back. Then she really twisted that arm up until he he started crying and begging to be let go. She made him say "I'm a pu**y" before she let him back up. The student got suspended for a week. Nobody got sued. Nobody ever acted up in her class again. She became legend.

Godddamn. What was this like 1950.

A teacher tried that today and she'd be on YouTube in a few minutes and the county would be forking over a hefty settlement.

And what does that tell you?

Those days will stay gone, as long as weenies in government continue to indoctrinate naive people into the way of the sissy.

I saw several ASS-aults when I went to school. The students looked upon their teachers as--GOD! And by golly, one did not ever want to go to the Principal's office. Never mind get introduced to the BOARD OF EDUCATION he had hanging on the wall, nice and pretty.

To snowflakes everywhere, I say, "Nut up or shut up!"

Perhaps that in 1950, people understood that a child (or anybody) should not be assaulting other people, and the teacher's actions (while I think were a bit much as relayed, were mostly justified) in preventing an assault on themselves.

Apparently, now children can do as they please, with no concept of how to behave, are allowed to assault teachers, and should not be disciplined for it.

Do you think the parent should have just stood there and permitted it? That they have no right to defend themselves?

In a fight, any fight, no matter the ages of the players, the one defending is the one who assaulted, according to snowflake philosophy.

I think an adult should be able to control themselves and not assault a child. That's kind of what separates children from adults, especially those in positions of power, you know, controlling your emotions. Children can act out for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps there was abuse at home, perhaps there was some mental disorder of some kind. Maybe the kid just made a bad decision, like kids do, I don't think it's appropriate for a teacher to assault the kid and then further embarrass him.but I guess I'm just some libtard that thinks beating up on kids is wrong.

I think the adult who resorts to physical violence against a child because they can't control themselves is the actual snowflake.

It's not a matter of the adult 'controlling themselves'. It's a matter of defending themselves and that the child understands that there are consequences for their actions.

So you feel that the child should be able to do whatever they want, with no repercussions, regardless of their actions?
