Hearsay: the report of another person's words by a witness, usually disallowed as evidence in a court of law.
Objection Overruled Counselor! This is the court of public opinion. And even worse for Trump, its Washington. Welcome to the suck.

I find it interesting that when these "Bastards" exposed problems in the Bush 43 administration, they were Lauded, Quoted, and virulently Defended by the left.
That was before they were co-opted by an enemy state and used to get a Treasonous weasel in the White House. Its ok my dude, you'll figure it out eventually.

I also doubt that WikiLeaks illegal distribution in violation of the copyright laws of Fire and Fury will hurt sales. Wolff and the publishers are already realizing a bonanza in sales because of Donald Trump's response to the book.

Perhaps old age is affecting my memory but I don't recall anything of significance being published by WikiLeaks during the Bush admn inistration. There was the WikiLeaks publication of almost 400,000 US Army field note reports from the Iraq was with startling information on numerous war crimes that were not exposed during Bush's time in office but that wasn't published until 2010. I'm not sure that anyone applauded WikiLeaks per se but the information that war crimes were being committed and covered up by the US Military (not by President Bush) was certainly something the American People cared about. This information should have properly been exposed through creditable American news sources because creditable American news are sensitive to national security concerns. WikiLeaks is not.

The 2016 election was very much different because WikiLeaks was acting as an agent of a foreign government that is the enemy of the United States to influence the outcome of an American election. Any foreign agent intervening in the elections of the United States is an enemy of the United States and represents a significant national security threat to the United States. Publishing information, even secret information, doesn't threatened our Democracy but intervening to influence the outcome of an election does threaten our democracy.

While a foreign player/agent publishing illegally hacked emails is one thing what war truly nefarious was that the emails of both Democrats and Republicans emails were hacked but only the Democrat's emails were released to the public. One could have possibly argued that because both sides of the election had their private emails releases there was at least some balance but that didn't happen.

Julian Assange lost any credibility he might have had when he used WikiLeaks for political purposes to help elect Donald Trump.
