Default Colorado Black Market Pot Busts nets 74

some people just are greedy.. Willing to take risks they should not.. And never knowing when to stop.

The number of arrested is up to 74 today.

This gang/crew has been working this black market thingy since Colorado went to legal recreational use.

Yet what worries me is Sessions and other hard ash Republicans might use this to try and end states allowing for any use of pot...

Damn "R's" And I have a right to this opinion. "R's" are kill joys, pass the white lighting and spread another line for my nose.. Also get the C.I.A. to start another war so we can get more different drugs into America.

Massive marijuana bust dismantles illegal trafficking ring in Denver metro area
43 people have been arrested, while others remain at-large

A Denver grand jury has indicted 62 people accused in a marijuana trafficking organization that reaped millions of dollars by illegally growing pot and then selling it out of state over a period of four years.

Group members also allegedly engaged in financial crimes, luring former Denver Broncos tight end Joel Dreessen and other investors by telling them their operation was legal.

It was the largest marijuana bust in Colorado since recreational marijuana was legalized in 2014, and it reflected an increased law enforcement focus on gray market marijuana growers who export their product beyond state lines.

Sessions is what worries you? The fact that despite making pot legal, the criminals are still active in CO doesn't?

I thought decriminalizing a victimless crime would stop pot crimes.

It doesn't.

And the worry is that the Feds might do their job and continue prosecuting the war on drugs.

really?

Overall crime rate in CO has been reported as down. But remember, pot possession and sale crimes no longer exist so of course the overall rate has lowered. Make property crimes legal and the stats will again improve.

BTW property crimes are up in areas adjacent nearby to the "legal" pot stores.

Give the cartels a little more time. Their scout missions are more or less complete, and then people will see what it is like to get with them into deals they can't refuse.

Yes!

The Mob prospered during prohibition but it also prospered before and after prohibition.

It still does.

Legalizing Pot may change the landscape, but it is not a solution to criminal activity.

I thought decriminalizing a victimless crime would stop pot crimes.

It doesn't. it doesn't and I knew this already.. Might I suggest, naw you don't need my advise.

Hey thanks for the extra info on crmes.. Some I had already had knowledge of and would avoid owning property on the same block as a Pot Store..

Heck do you recall when the Feds had a plan to follow the guns? How did that work out. Not so good for the Feds. But the cartels did nicely.

And you correct people with money=power will use others with well oiled platforms... That can bring benefits to them.

Legalizing Pot may change the landscape, but it is not a solution to criminal activity.

And why is it thought that to make something legal it will stop some types of crime? Which ding bat thought it would?

We use to have 2 threads one about crocked cops and the other about Pot. Now lost to time and space..

I n there you will read where I and a few others shared ideas and one was about this very topic.

Not much is going to change if the crimes make money after a new system is set up.
I mean you knew this, right?

What did change is people now aren't involved in crmes if they buy from a Pot Store Add in "I's" where they are taken out. As I am tried of correcting each sentence.
As you noted so that and the fact in the first year Colorado was able to pay off debts and in the second year had a Sunny Day Fund set up.. So to some it is better this way.

They do. And they did.
Black market pot involves real criminals. Often violent ones. That's why they busted some 74 of them.
Get a clue.
