Michelle Carter has 'damaged moral core,' sued by victim's family

Heart has to break for this dude's parents.

If anyone deserves to be called a "worthless f*cking c*nt" it's this chick. Hope she ends up in a relationship with Chris Brown or somethin'.

Conrad Roy committed suicide. His choice, his actions led to his death.
Michelle Carter is certainly a despicable being, but she didn't kill him. He killed himself. She is no more culpable of murder than I am were I to tell any member here at PW to drop dead.
Horrid she is, yes. But she should not be guilty of manslaughter, he killed himself, as in SUICIDE.

Suppose that I tell my employer that I will kill myself if they were to fire me.
Then suppose that I were fired.
Then suppose that I commit suicide.
Would my employer be guilty of manslaughter?

Michelle Carter isn't guilty of being a killer, she's gulty of being a horrible person, but last I looked, being a horrible person isn't a crime in and of itself.

It's more than that. She constantly urged him to kill himself and even told him to get back in the car when he got out.

She was complicit in his suicide. He prolly would be alive if not for her.

Really?
She drove him to the point of taking his own life.
She knew there was a weakness there and accomplished exactly what she'd hoped for.

Yes, she is a horrible person but she didn't kill him.

I shudder to think that spoken (texted) words can result in a manlaughter verdict.
What free speech will next be considered a crime?

Yes, really.
He was the driver, not her.
She was the despicable person in the passenger seat.

Could a person convince you to take your life? Drive you to that point?

No she was in the driver's seat every step of the way.
Not a snowball's chance in hell that anyone could drive me to that point, but then we're talking about an apparently weak person here very overpowered by another.

I'm thinking that a seventeen year old ain't that powerful.
You weren't that powerful when you were seventeen and neither was I.
He was suicidal for years and committed suicide. He was in the drivers seat, not her.
I agree that her actions were horrid, but she didn't kill him, he killed himself.
