As we have seen from the recent SCOTUS decision state marriage laws are meaningless compared to the whim of the Federal judiciary detecting new "rights". The Obama administration has already engaged in trying to force religious charities to violate their religious beliefs against birth control and abortion with crippling fines. The same "logic" that proclaims religious based charities must submit to the Federal edicts for health insurance "like everyone else" flows easily into churches must perform homosexuality marriage ceremonies like everyone else. Churches are "free" to practice their religious beliefs except where it doesn't conform to Federal judicial edict.

After all the unconditional advocacy for gay "rights" declared by unelected judges and support for draconian laws that create a bounty system on merchants practicing their religious freedom somehow we are supposed to believe the zealots are going to stop at the church door. It is perfectly OK to crush small businesses rather than subject gay couples to the inconvenience of finding a merchant who will gladly accept their business, yet somehow we are expected to believe these same zealots will not harness the power of government to force any church to submit to their agenda.

Constitutional requirements for respecting rights is not a "whim".

You're talking about apples and oranges. The recent ruling has no meaning on whether or not a church has to perform a wedding...
... because the court case had nothing to do with church recognition.


But the right has to paint themselves as the victim when they are denied the capability to use the government for discrimination.
