Do you think that he would have been arrested if this story hadn't been in the news - even of the authorites knew that he had been using a PC?? Seriously - this kind of thing is usually handled by POs, not LE. The PO contacts the violator and tells them that they are in violation of their parole agreement and that they need to come in and talk about it and if necessary, bring the courts into it. If they refuse, they don't hand the case over to LE, they hand it over to professionals who go out and get the violator and bring them in (bounty hunters). They don't go out and arrest people on chicken-**** stuff like this. There's no doubt that he did violate his parole and no question that it should have been dealt with, but the question is about HOW it was dealt with. Arresting someone for a MINOR parole violation like this is NOT how this is normally handled.
