The officer, who was not identified, ordered the naked man to back away, but when the man continued the assault, the officer shot him, the Herald said. Witnesses told the Herald the wounded attacker continued to eat his victim, so the officer continued firing.

The naked man’s victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center and had critical injuries, police told the Herald.

Neither man was identified.

Y'all know this sounds funny, but I'll bet the victim is seriously injured. And the infections from a human bite are usually very bad. On the face, they have a strong chance of affecting the eyes, throat and brain.

Plus, the injuries well may be quite disfiguring.

Just sayin'.

He is in critical condition, if he hasn't died during the night.

It's not at all funny; it's dreadful.
The very idea of one of my loved ones being attacked this way is horrifying.

I tried it once and I've got to admit that it was serious fun - way better than pot or alcohol. I'm also intelligent enough (now) to understand that's not always the case.
