If memory serves, W. reached out to the Iranians after 9/11 - I distinctly remember him thanking the Iranians for their support the day of or the day after 9/11. I thought at the time that it was a prudent to try to coax those wackos into some sort of dialog. I still think that - as long as it's done in a rational and prudent way, regardless of the individual occupying the White House.

Nogotiating with Iran!?!
 Thats rich. Hey tell me how that turns out. With the Mullas in charge we won't get anywhere with that. Its still the Revolutioaries in charge. Do you think they want so kind of peace?
