Iranians blame regime for hardship

Quote:
Amid Wednesday's street protests marking the 30th anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy in Teheran by radical students, Iranians are voicing angry criticism of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the regime for exacerbating economic hardships in the country.

In telephone interviews from Teheran, several citizens accused the government of placing ever-heavier economic burdens on what one interviewee called "the shoulders of the hardworking masses."

"We have all suffered a great deal," said one Teherani who, like all those interviewed, insisted on anonymity. "Not only are we deprived politically" - a reference to the contested June presidential election results - "but now we are barely putting food on the table."

Don't these agitators know how bad they're screwing up Obama's plans?...

We're lucky they aren't blaming the USA. That could be important in the future.

Yup...

In this video uploaded today, the crowd is chanting "Obama are you with us or with them?"...

Notice it's not "America"?...JUST "Obama"?...

Through twitter and other backdoor outlets, the Iranians learned that the American people are behind them while Obama threw them under the bus after the Iranian elections...

The right doesn't understand how delicate the situation is. They use a hammer for every job. Nationalism in Iran and why we don't want to stick our noses too deeply in is way over their collective heads.
Iranians are focused inword. And that is good for us. We shouldn't be the issue. We should be the beacon.

It's not very helpful when Obama prefers to hide under the covers.

We have a lot of things going on right now, but my heart is with the Iranian people. I hope they can hold out till we can get rid of whats-is-name who never answered my email.

Actually it's not Amedejenna-whosit, it's the clergy.
John Lennon makes a lot of sense right now.
