the city of Xi'an, a city not suited for women

A couple of years ago, about in 2019, when a pregnant woman who was giving birth to her baby at that time beyond all expectations chose to leap out through the window of the maternity room that was on the 5th floor of the building of the hospital, I said that the city of Xi'an wasn't suited for the living of the women.

At that time the public medium directed the public viewpoints to discuss the questions such as how to relieve the cramps the pregnant women got when they started giving birth. It occured to me that there must be something about ideas, concepts or cultures which looked down upon women or, in other words, regarded women as the private property that could give birth to children in the northwest area which was around the city of Xi'an though, because no women would kill herself just because the pain she felt when she started giving birth her own baby.

At the very beginning of the pandemic, I told one of my co-workers, whose daughter studied architecture in Xi'an University of Science and Engineering and prepared for her graduation stuffs in that June, to ask her daughter not to stay in the city of Xi'an and the city wasn't suited for women. Later, she told me that her daughter had started her studying in Tianjin University, which is in north China, as a recommanded postgraduate. I was the one who's never interested in the private affairs of other people, but I gathered all my courage together did that above-mentioned. Let's just image the scene: if her daughter had a boyfriend who's in Xi'an City at that time, would the man detest me to death?

And then, in this year, because of the lockdown of the city of Xi'an, a pregnant woman who has the fetus in her body for 8 months sat outside the hospital miscarrying. The details can be watched here: https://www.zhihu.com/topic/25206223/hot

In short, the virus test report the prognant held seemed exceed 4 hours than the specified time-limit, so the hospital rejected her admission. In the picture there's a pool of blood under the woman.

From the bottom of my heart, I don't want to talk about the city once and again, it's the city that broke into my life once and again with its scandals shocking me, though.

That is so sad. Our hospitals are over run in some places and pregnancy is not considered a health emergency unfortunately. Less so in covid times. But we do have a lot of active midwives who are licensed under a doctor's authority.
As for the pain, you can have a baby with minimal amount of pain in normal circumstances and most places even now.

Wife beating is not tolerated and is a crime but is under reported.

Yes, it is. It's said that the pregnant woman felt a sudden stomachache at home and her hubby sent her to the hospital at once with other relatives. After the hospital allowed her into there finally, she's dignosed as abruptio placentae. So I guess only a few midwives have been far from adequate under that condition.

What?! You deny all pains we women would have to bear. You'll never be worth having an offspring. You don't love your wife. Such a poor woman your wife is. And so on and so forth. *shrugs*
