French election contender Macron is Russian 'fake news' target: party chief

Quote:

French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron is a "fake news" target of Russian media and his campaign is facing thousands of cyber attacks, his party chief said on Monday. Richard Ferrand, secretary-general of Macron's En Marche! (Onwards!) party, said that Russian state-controlled media Russia Today and Sputnik had spread false reports with the aim of swinging public opinion against Macron. An independent centrist, Macron has surged in campaigning for the French election and opinion polls make him favorite to win election in May. Ferrand said that Macron, as a staunch pro-European, was a Russian target because he wanted a strong united Europe that had a major role to play in world affairs, including in the face of Moscow.

Sputnik earlier this month ran an interview with a conservative French lawmaker accusing Macron, a former investment banker, of being an agent of "the big American banking system". "Two big media outlets belonging to the Russian state Russia Today and Sputnik spread fake news on a daily basis, and then they are picked up, quoted and influence the democratic (process)," Ferrand said. Russia Today said it rejected allegations it spread fake news in general and in relation to Macron and the forthcoming French election.

Russian newspaper Izvestia has also reported comments from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange who said his organization had "interesting information" about Macron, who opinion polls say would easily beat far-right leader Marine Le Pen in a May 7 runoff. In addition, Ferrand said the Macron campaign was being hit by "hundreds if not thousands" of attacks probing the campaign's computer systems from locations inside Russia.
The Russian security services (GRU/FSB) and major propaganda outlets (RT/Sputnik) are also meddling in the upcoming German elections hoping to unseat Angela Merkel.

It's no secret that LePen's FN has momentum. Didn't the socialists and conservatives join forces in the last election to keep FN in control? The same type of propaganda is going on in Europe as here in the U.S. LePen scares the aristocracy. Sound familiar?

Half of Macron's Cabinet are women
Thursday 18th May, 2017 - Emmanuel Macron names a Cabinet that is evenly divided between men and women - Gérard Collomb becomes interior minister, and Jean-Yves Le Drian is foreign minister
Quote:

France's newly inaugurated President Emmanuel Macron unveiled his Cabinet on Wednesday, with women filling half of the 22 positions as promised. Gérard Collomb will become interior minister, former presidential hopeful François Bayrou takes justice and Jean-Yves Le Drian -- who was defense minister under former President François Hollande -- takes foreign affairs and Europe. Sylvie Goulard will be defense minister, while Muriel Pénicaud becomes labor minister and Agnes Buzyn is health minister. Annick Girardin, who was the minister for public services under Hollande, is now the overseas territories minister.

Macron: Political novice to French president

Bruno Le Maire, who served under former center-right President Nicolas Sarkozy, has been named as Macron's economy minister. Hollande also achieved gender parity in his 2012 Cabinet, but commentators noted that most of the heavyweight roles went to men. According to CNN affiliate BFMTV, the 69-year-old Collomb is a popular Socialist who has been a senator and mayor of Lyon and was one of Macron's early backers. Despite a long political career, it will be his first ministerial position. His new role puts him in charge of France's police and, as such, of any terror-related investigations in the country.

Bayrou, also in an important role, joined forces with Macron in February, contributing to his victory by bringing his centrist party Modem on board. Macron on Monday named center-right politician Edouard Philippe of the Republicans as his Prime Minister. The far-right National Front criticized Macron's Cabinet picks, saying he had brought back "personalities who have already significantly demonstrated their complete incompetence." It added, "The large number of ministers from the ranks of the Republicans, in addition to the Prime Minister himself, also confirms that the Republicans will not be able to claim to be a force opposed to the power in place."

Legislative elections loom

It's the status quo. Hollande people liberally included in cabinet. Maybe Macron will un-ban the burqa to symbolize women's freedom. :)

I hope that is sarcasm. A woman wearing a burqa might as well advertise that she has a leash stuck up her ass by a man.:thumbsup

Bring on the peanut gallery!

Islam has been called the blind spot of the left. It's a conundrum. Why wouldn't the regressives be protesting the treatment of women by muslim men?

I don't think it is a blind spot for Muslims. On the contrary they are being used by the left Globally to destabilize nations both socially and economically with good effect..

How the Global elite dispenses with them when one world order has been put in place with the liberal progressives I suppose the blind spot you are referring to...

Yes. That's like saying "Hitting a woman in the ass is less of an insult than hitting her in the face." You are aware that those rules of the moon god came from some desert guys who wanted women to be under their control, no?

Relax. You can say Mohammed (piss be upon him) was the sole inventor.

Interesting. Have there been lefty demonstrations regarding FMG or women having to wear a big hot bag?

Anybody notice the left is anti Russian and anti Trump the world over?

Could it be that these two rogue nations are unable to be toppled by leftist one world order liberals ?

Could it be that since these two nations are the most powerful, are feared by the global elite leftists?

Why does George Soros name keep popping up on each side of the Atlantic Ocean??

How long before another nation leaves the E.U.? And if two or more leave, can the E.U. even be sustained? Does the left wing Globalist loose it all with the break up of the E.U., and will they fight a war over it?

Stay tuned. It gets more interesting from here. :wave
