SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea said Tuesday it has stopped disabling its nuclear reactor and will consider restoring the plutonium-producing facility in anger over Washington's failure to remove it from the U.S. list of terror sponsors.

Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry said it suspended the disablement work at the reactor and other facilities at its Yongbyon nuclear complex as of Aug. 14 because the U.S. did not keep its promise to delist Pyongyang as a terror sponsor under last year's deal.

The North's statement came shortly after Chinese President Hu Jintao left South Korea after summit talks with President Lee Myung-bak that included discussions on the North's nuclear issue.

The U.S. announced in June that it would delist the North as a terror sponsor after Pyongyang turned in a long-delayed list of its nuclear programs.

The two sides have been negotiating how to verify the nuclear declaration, with Washington saying it would remove the North from the terror list only after Pyongyang agrees to a verification plan.
North Korea is doing it bass ackwards...

You do "A", you get "B"...But they're stopping "A" until they get "B"...

I obviously don't trust NK but I wonder if we are playing games with the carrot. I know what we are told. I have no idea what was agreed to behind closed doors. And do I trust the truth from our leaders? No.
I don't know why they don't negotiate in public so everyone is clear. I remember hearing. And I still do that the Palestinians under Arafat passed up a great deal. And that they would get much of their land back. What wasn't reported was that they would get it back in a 99 years. That was the agreement. But it doesn't sound as good that way does it. So who knows anymore who is BSing who.

What world are you living in?...

2000 Camp David Summit

Quote:
Barak offered to form a Palestinian State initially on 73% of the West Bank (that is 27% less than the Green Line borders) and 100% of the Gaza Strip. In 10 to 25 years the West Bank area would expand to 90-91% (94% excluding greater Jerusalem). As a result, "Israel would have withdrawn from 63 settlements." The West Bank would be separated by a road from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, with free passage for Palestinians although Israel reserved the right to close the road for passage in case of emergency. The Palestinian position was that the annexations would block existing road networks between major Palestinian populations. In return, the Israelis would cede 1% of their territory in the Negev Desert to Palestine. The Palestinians rejected this proposal.

North Korea and its duplicitous leader Kim Jong Il should be told to shove it. Any incentives that are ever offered to North Korea are merely taken and like the insufferable ingrate it is, nothing is ever given back in exchange.
