Oh and BTW, I didn't even catch the inauguration of our own president (since I don't like Bush), I most certainly am not interested in watching the inauguration of your president "live from Kremlin!"

But for now you're posting goofy, the Jerry Springer show type material.

By the way, why did you send me threatening letter in which you said that I am about to lose the membership?
Is that what you do, MODERATOR Mikeyy, to insist on your point of view when you cannot beat your opponent with a power of intelligence.

I am not the only one tired of seeing your Russian propaganda. If you have something you wish to discuss then do it. If you are just trying to promote Russia why should we play along? We are not Russian. Maybe you don't know that. If you are proud of your country thats fine. But do you see people here posting anti Russian propaganda?

Moderator Mikeyy, I think you are NOT interested in discussion at all.

At all!

First you posted something like "we are not going to kill you" stuff and then you sent me a letter with a threat.

I mean.... If CNN or Fox-News do not report about the Arctic 24/7 than it does not mean that the issue was solved.
Let me remind you, Moderator Mikeyy, about the Law of the Sea which US Senate rushed to ratify:

U.S. Senator Lugar says Russia wants Arctic energy reserves

WASHINGTON, May 16 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. Senator Richard G. Lugar said Russia is aspiring to take control over potential energy reserves in the Arctic Ocean at the expense of U.S. interests.

The senator, known for his anti-Russian statements, urged the U.S. authorities to join the struggle for the polar oil and gas resources by ratifying the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The issue has acquired importance in view of dwindling global energy resources. Experts forecast that oil reserves on land would soon be exhausted and the only available fields will be in Persian Gulf and on deep sea shelves.
Lugar said Russia had claimed the right to develop the reserves, which could become more accessible due to ice melting in climate change. The Russian government is expected to meet this week to discuss hydrocarbon production on the sea.
The U.S. parliamentarian's warnings followed a statement by President George W. Bush Tuesday, which called on the Senate to ratify the convention.

So, please, Mikeyy, post something coherent and we will debate it.

Lugar said the convention had been adopted in Cold War times to protect national interests against the Soviet Union and aggressively developing countries. If ratified, the document will grant Washington control over the vast energy and fish wealth lying 200 miles off the American coast, he said.

So the Law of the Sea was even never ratified by the US Sanate? That's interesting.....
Does anyone know if it WAS ratified?

The solution to this whole mess is a simple one: Tell Mother Russia to stuff her claim in her ear. Then go back to watching Russia try to rebuild itself into the failed monstrosity that the old Soviet Union was. When they get to that same critical mass of spending money to try to keep up with America that they hit in early '80's, they'll fall apart like a house of cards (for the third time). Russians are power-hungry drunks who are still pissed off that they sold us Alaska for pennies on the acre, that they never figured out to keep up with Europe during the 1700-1800s empire building efforts and because an ex-actor turned politician showed them that America is the single greatest nation on the planet. Now, go back to forgetting to how to have sex (link) and drinking bad Vodka.
